That's crazy. Must be crazy trucks there. I don't think Florida has inspections, either. When I went there a few years ago on the beach, I don't think I heard one Jeep/truck driving on the beach that had mufflers.

Mine's registered in NC, but I have a bunch of friends in SC & I'm only about 25 miles from the SC border, & YES...they're are some huge Jeeps/Trucks/SUV's down in SC. It's pretty awesome, wish we had the same rules in NC.

You can literally have fire come out your exhaust. Though I'm not a fan of being smoked out at traffic lights due to someone's POS.

Recently I added fog lights without using the Mopar kit... that was an adventure in tracking down part numbers to figure out how to hack into the factory wiring correctly. While I was at it I plastidipped the front grill and opened the headlights to paint the chrome bezels black. $55 to the dealership and now I'm running fogs.

I also took the doors off. It was really easy as long as you have a partner and a 13mm ratcheting box end. I am never going to wheel on the rocks again with my doors on (unless it rains or is really muddy). Alot less stressful, less worried about body damage.

The Tuff Stuff LED light's work great. They're floods so they don't reach farther than the factory brights, but they Light up the periphery amazingly. Definately worth the $50.

Ps. Texas guys I need to know if you're going to the March 15th run in the Lone Star forum!

You should be fine. I used to own a dodge dakota that had a 3" lift and 33x12.50 tires, and never had any issues getting it inspected. I did have an issue once with one of my license plate bolts being loose...

I think it just depends on the state you're in. When I changed my registration to Nevada they just looked at the vin tag and insurance card and sent me on my way.

Looking good JeepMonkey! How hard was it to get to the dash bezel? I was staring at mine for a solid 10 minutes the other day wondering how hard it would be to paint that.

JeepMonkey, are you getting any noise from those swaybar endlinks? Guessing those are the JKS part# 2034? My stock ones are pretty stressed and on their last leg. $25 was a steal, good score!

Warning long winded rant incoming.

The Kk is still sitting at the dealer for it's tranny leak.... Supposed to be a 2 day job that was completed on Friday. Instead of picking it up Friday. I chose to keep the rental for the weekend and thank god I did

Went to pick the jeep up on Monday morning pleased that it was no longer leaking only the find the reason why it wasn't was because THEY DIDN'T PUT FLUID IN IT! Found out as I tried to drove it off the lot and was greeted with a high rev and a hard slam into drive.

Let them keep it to fix the mistake and was called about an hour later... Dealer said that my transmission pan was deeper than stock(what idiots that makes no sense) and they hadn't filled it completely(there was nothing in it) aside from that it drove smoothly when I picked it up the second time but it stank to high heaven of tranny fluid..

I thought it was just residual that was on the exhaust.... NOPE IT'S STILL LEAKING, WORSE THAN BEFORE. long story short... Taking all the fluid out of the tranny will stop it from leaking but won't fix the problem idiots ...

Not good! I'd think if they did anything to your Trans they'd have noticed a different pan, if it is. I'd be getting a new @ no cost to me transmission.

That sucks I would demand some major compensation. You may have killed 10's of thousands of miles on your transmission. I would try to go for either a complete transmission replacement or a warranty (lift covered) for the next 100k miles. And have the car covered and a few free oil changes for the inconvenience.

9am update got a call from the service guy. Apparently upon inspection this morning the leak reappeared due to metal particles from a torn up bearing near the gasket shedding the new gasket causing it to empty enough fluid over the weekend to make it slip and skip Monday.
The negligence on their part not noticing this has now destroyed my torque converter Trans pump and the list goes on due to being run without lubricant

The good news is they are owning up to it being their mistake and not trying to say I caused it lol

The trans pan is no different the service guy didn't know what the problem was and tried to give me a bs answer. I called him out on it.
