For you guys who took off the plastic rocker panels, be sure to keep that area clean and waxed and meticulously fill dings and chips. As a former XJ owner, I know that the rocker panels were one of the first places to rust out because of the abuse they get from the wheels flinging all sorts of crap up against them. :grim: I'm actually happy to see that Jeep used plastic in that area to keep my KK from rusting, and so won't be removing mine. I do have to admit, though, it does make the KK look taller when the plastic panels are removed! :)

Thanks for that information. I was considering the idea. Now reading what you posted. Don't think I'll be doing that right now.

I agree. I did this cosmetic mod, too. I would like some plugs for the holes visible or something to cover the whole area.

Been trying to fix my passenger blinker housing. Not a day has gone by that it didn't have moisture in it. Took the socket out and put it back in to see if it was just improperly in there. Gotta start with the cheapest fix first.
Anyone else have suggestions?

My drivers side blinker has the same problem. Staying tuned...

I think I remember reading about a TSB for this way back when. Might be on this list.

Looked on JeepForum and didn't see it on the TSB list.

Yeah, I've seen that TSB before. It says to replace the blinker housing! Not too helpful unless you're still under warranty.

It's on Digger's TSB list here on LOST. It's the 9th one down under the 2008 TSB's.

Thanks. I totally forgot that was on Lost, too. Yeah, not helpful lol.
Will post if anything seems to change.

You know, I bet if there is a leak we could fix it by baking the blinkers and taking them apart like they do for painting the headlight bezels. We could reseal them using a good all-weather sealer. Of course, screw it up and it's off to the junkyard for a replacement blinker!

You might be right. Any 2011 or 2012 owners wanna chime in on this issue of the passenger side blinker housing fogging up or having moisture in there?

I have a 2011, and I bought it used in January 2013.. it had moisture in it too, but since they safetied it at the dealer and this moisture was there before that and they didnt replace it, icomplained a month or two later and had it replaced for free cause it was a safety issue.

Going on two years now with my KK, no moisture in the housings.

Looking at some new mods for adventures/expedition stuff. Sad to say I can’t afford a single darn thing :dizzy:

That's good. Yours is also a Jet edition, right? Not sure how that would change anything, but just for reference.

Yeah it is. All is the same except lack of skids/armor and big rims that I already got rid of

Hopefully it's just me being paranoid since I had to replace an ignition coil, but it seems my engine is having a slightly rough idle. Enough to where the entire Jeep shakes. Its not hard but noticeable. I'm thinking I might replace the last two coils.
