Guys, just an update:
I spoke with customer service at Bilstein USA East @ 704-663-7563.
Regarding Bilstein 5125, model # 33-185552
As per Bilstein rep: "Can be mounted either way, and Functionality is the same"

ETA: Also verified this with Bilstein USA HeadQuarters in CA @ 858-386-5900
"It can be mounted rod up or down as long as you have No clearance issues"

I too was very pleased at the difference between the skyjackers to Bilsteins. I think you're supposed to mount those boot/rod side down though. I also removed the boots on mine, seems they do more harm than good by trapping dirt, mud water etc in there.

Thanks Morgan, BMXer
I did find this info,(from allshocks) but I could prob contact Bilstein just to be sure :)

Do I mount the shocks with the boot pointing up or down?

"With the internal design of the Bilstein monotube gas shocks, it does not matter whether the shocks are mounted with the shock rod side up or down. There are some minor advantages in longevity and overall suspension effectiveness with the shock rod pointed down, and there are many instances where Bilstein has changed the orientation to take advantage of these minor improvements where there are no clearance problems. If there is an option, we recommend mounting the shock with the shock rod and boot pointing down, but in the grand scheme of things, there is no noticeable difference."

Old school but, if up remove boot traps moisture and dirt.

for your info.
you can use jk bumpers on the liberty.
but it involves a lot of cutting.
you need to cut the wings of the front bumper support and make an adaptor.
here are some measurements for the ones that want to do it.

i did all the research already and i am waiting for spring break to do the job.

i am trying to decide between the smittybilt src bumper or the xrc.

more or less here is how it may look

And then what about the turn signals? Make a bracket for them too?

Biggest thing I could see would be trimming the crossmember to clean up the front. Then that comes into the territory of cutting the unibody. Not sure how much you can cut and still have strength. Would look pretty good though...

they cut to where the unibody meets.
the only problem is that when you cut those wing you need to cut inside the wheel well and them you have to make something with a sheet metal to avoid dust to get into the engine.

here was a thread long time ago of someone the put a stock jk bumber on the kk.

I keep the entire bumper and cut the fender flares. I also cut out the blinker brackets and bolted them back on, it did require me to drill a hole in the fender flare to keep the blinker from bouncing around. As far as mounting the bumper, I drilled holes in the frames cross member and bolted it right on. It fits on really tight, there are a few things that need to be cut away to get a tight fit. The JK metal bumper fits right over the cross member, with a strong kick. The two inside bolts on each side of the JK bumper are difficult to get the nut on, you will need to cut a area just big enough to get it on and wrench it down.

I do plan on putting on different blinkers and make the bumper a stubby.

if you are using a full size bumper there is no need to cut.

Not sure what you are saying doesn't need to be cut, but the fender flares must be cut for the fullsize factory JK bumper to fit.

Yes that would only be if you wanted a Stubby type bumper. I would love to see a KK with a stinger!

Pulled my front end apart to tighten up some bolts. Had a small squeak and couldn't find it. Did fix it for the most part, now it's really quiet and only with certain bumps. Any ideas on what would squeak? It's not the a-arms or swaybars.

Oh and I greased my a-arm ball joints while I was in there.
