Ordered 2 12” led bars on Amazon, $30 each with a lot of great, longer term reviews with little issue with the quality.

Hopefully the weather and my workload cooperate this week so I can get them on my rack, should be in on Tuesday :D

Oh and I greased my a-arm ball joints while I was in there.

I'm chasing a squeak, too. So far only thing I tightened up was the front sway bar.
Seems to be right around the passenger caliper area.

EDIT: Check the sway bar bushings. That's what keeps coming up with my searching on LOST. Even found a video of the exact sound I'm having.
Looks like I'll have to replace them or grease them with some white lithium even thought I'm pretty sure that's not recommended.

We can always just pull the swaybar  I think I found it for the most part.

What did you do? I think today I'll try to remove the sway bar and reinstall and pay close attention to the sway bar bushings. They might need to be replaced. It's been doing this even when it was stock.

Loose nut on the the spring assembly. No more squeak. :D

Now she needs a bath, too bad its 30* out. Tomorrow I might try to get an oil change, and as usual get the alignment checked. Lifetime alignment ftw!

I bought the 3 year alignment which was less than 2 alignments. Already needed one so I'd say it's a good deal

Got a picture of which bolt? :juggle:

I just spent an hour rocking my Jeep up and down trying to find this squeak.
It almost sounds like it could be inside the engine bay...
Need to diagnose with a buddy to verify where it's coming from.

No pics, it's the one at the end of the shock. Not the clevis bolts, but up by the body. You literally have to drop the whole spring/shock coilover to get to it. I guess it loosened a bit over the 6k miles or so. Everything else was still tight.

Is it easy to drop the whole spring/ shock to get to it?
I would like to see if this is my issue especially if it's something like a loose bolt.

Mine was on the driver's side, so I had to do the whole pulling the battery stuff, undo the 4 bolts, undo the swaybar, pop the balljoint on the a-arms and undo the clevis forks so I could slide it down enough to get a wrench in there. It was like doing my front lift all over again, except I didn't have to compress my springs. Took maybe an hour or so.

Mine is on the passenger side. Are these the bolts I see when looking down at the passenger side engine bay? If so, those are easy to get to especially with the CAI, but I apparently don't have a socket to fit that.

Yeah gage, there are 4 nuts to drop the shock assembly. That's not the nut Bmxer is talking about. I think he's talking about the nut that holds the shock to the strut mount. You'll have to drop the whole shock assembly to get to it.

Okay. I'd rather see what I can do before I start tearing this thing apart.
I can't be 100 percent sure where it's coming from yet until I get a buddy to bounce the Jeep while I listen to it.

Hunt is right. A lot of the bolts are metric. 18 seems to be the most common. I think I needed 18, 21, 10 and maybe 13? Don't remember exactly. I was bouncing my front as my dad looked/listened. We figured it was the shock. So we took everything apart and went through it. Worse case scenario we didn't find it, but had peace of mind that everything was good.

Thanks for the replies. Do you remember what position was best for hearing the noise?

I was bouncing the front(brushguard is good for something 8) ) and my dad was by the tire looking into the wheel well. We still have some noise, but we think it's the hard plastic boot that Bilstein uses up front.

Okay. I was bouncing using the Mopar light bar. I'll update if I can verify anything in the future.

So I have been working on my light bar and my roof rack.
The day has come!
So First I took off the roof rack from my jeep... :banghead: and 3 of the mounting bracket broke...
Image
I took it down and put the light bar in front of it to see the fitment.
Image
Testing the light bar...All good!
Image
Since the light bar is the same width as the roof basket.
I need to make a special mount for it.
Image
L shape steel plate from Home depot
Image
It fits like a glove. I am gonna paint it black to match the roof rack color
Image
The mount was holding by 2 bolts.
Image
Half finish product (missing the mounting brackets)
The XL roof rack without the light bar
Image
Mount the light bar to test fitment
Image
Sideway
Image
Front of the new light bar and roof rack
Image
After all the testing on the roof, I took it down again and re install my DIY awning. I remove the wood I used previously as it doesn't look that good. I figured out a better way to mount it.
