Our 2009 has developed a click when depressing the brake pedal. Sound like something up under the dash. Before I try to get up under the dash, thought I'd check here to see if anyone had the same issue.

Does it happen while your in park? Mine clicks when I depress and release the brake in park

Sounds like it's coming from the center console

That's from putting the Jeep in park. You're hearing the transmission dropping the pin in park/the brake interlock.

OP, does it happen while driving?

No not the brake/transmission interlock thing, I can hear that in the console when in park. The sound may actually be coming from the booster. I need to wait for the spouse to return to look into it. It looks like the knee blocker is removable if I can figure out how to release the clips. Is it just a snap in, like if I yank on it will it snap out?

Yes happens when driving as well as standing sill in neutral or D. Engine running or not. Brakes work fine otherwise.

There was a recall (J37) for 2010 KK missing or incorrectly installed brake pedal clip...
Word of warning; Don't mess with the brake light switch at the pedal... If it comes off the pedal it will have to be replaced.

The driver's knee panel is on a hinge just like the passenger's side glove box, but has metal clips at the top holding it closed. Reach under the steering column to get a good hold on it with your fingers, and then give it a good yank. Once the knee panel opens, you can slide it sideways to remove.

Mine has made some sort of clicking noise when you release the pedal since day one. It comes from the pedal somewhere.
Not sure if this is the same thing you're experiencing.

Mine used to do that. Haven't heard it in a long time.

It seems to have stopped clicking on its own. I don't see anything obvious on the brake pedal or linkage.
