I wanted to start a thread thats focused on Shock Boot Manufacturers. There are already plenty of threads that focus on the Pros/Cons of using shock boots. Anyway...

Does anyone have any good recommendations for shock boots? (e.g. Pro-Comp, Daystar, Rancho, etc...)

I forgot to tell you in that pm, the front Bilsteins come with a proprietory blue plastic boot. I personally don't like shock boots and removes them esp the 'accordian' style ones as they tend to trap water and dirt and don't let you wash behind them. If you're getting the 5125 series for the rear, they should come with a black boot.

Yep, ATH is right. My front Bilsteins have the blue plastic boot. The rears have the black rubber accordion style. Anyone ever take that front boot off and run without it?

I forgot what other companies make boots.

When I lifted my KJ I never ran those boots on the fronts(or rears) with no issues.Heck even trashed the boots for the front coilovers on the Town Car when I replaced them.

Sorry I didn't fully read your post, didn't mean to veer off topic...

But yeah, I'm sure most of the available shock boots are pretty much the same thing.

None of my Skyjackers came with the boots. I didn't know there was a purpose for them.
