Not sure what it is either and have meaning to post a question about it.
Anyone know?

So maybe some of you have noticed I have been around much for the last 5 days or so.
My internet was working because I always have to mess with settings. Turned out to be an issue with my antivirus settings. Only took hours upon days to figure out. :banghead:
Anyways, finally got to wash and wax the Jeep today. Of course it drizzled today. :x
I really need to clay bar the Jeep and definitely use my touch up paint on a few small areas before they rust.

Morning,

picked up a heavy duty camo tote/box for the back of my KK. Where I work they sell them for $25 and I got it for $19.99 since the clips on the front were broken but definitely a steal since you don't really need them. I'm able to put a lock on it too :)

Had some free time so I measured my height. 21.5" both sides in the rear, driver's side front is 21.5-21.75" and passenger's front is 22". So my front is almost 4" of lift  rear sits around 3ish. Keeps the Jeep level...

I want more.....

Good morning, everyone.
Peeled off my old plastidip yesterday. Time to re-dip.
Also time for 60K maintenance, so I will do the front and rear differential fluid today.

I washed the Jeep on Friday since it was so nice out, took it out and got it dirty Saturday and Sunday, then washed it again Sunday afternoon. I also took the opportunity to vacuum it out, scrub the floor mats and get the salt out of the carpet. Looks sooo much better inside now. I also took it for a nice cruise about an hour away for a wine tasting. Nothing better than having the moonroof open when it's sunny and warm and a gorgeous girl riding shotgun.

Forgot to mention- also saw a Renegade KK where the wine tasting was. Had MA plates and a ski rack. I didn't get a chance to chat with the owner but that was the first time I've seen Renegade/Jet headlights in person. Definitely need them

I washed my KK yesterday and then decided I'd redip my grill. Went to Lowes and bought two cans. They had electric blue and orange as well as white.

I stripped my grill of the old dip and decided to paint my headlight covers blue and see what I thought. It looked okay but my wife thought black was better.

All she had to say was don't you want to standout? Your Jeep looks like it came from the factory. Well I decided I'd go back to black..

Had trouble getting the dip to pass my standards. I ended up removing the covers and it left a mess behind.

Right now I'm going cover less and it looks like doo but I'll just have to get a set of the renegade versions.

Well my Renegade headlights are on the UPS truck for delivery today. I'm hoping to install them after work today but I have a few errands to run first. If anything, I'll just wait until the weekend. But I'm excited for the look!

FYI you'll need to adjust them. I was driving to work this morning and lol they are lopsided. One is high and the other is low.

Haha, ok. Were yours used in a KK before or did you get them brand new? I'm hoping mine will be pretty close to where they need to be but may need a minor adjustment once in mine. Wait... NoQuota had a lift. Dammit.

Gage - I’m going to be back in the area in a month-ish until end of July, we should definitely meet up and maybe go hit a trail or cruise around together. I also want to see what a super clean KK looks like, god knows mine isn’t anything close to clean anymore :ROTFL:

Any idea what this is? I popped my hood and saw this unattached and eventually found out where it went. It has a tube running to the intake manifold.

Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk

That's a Fuel Evap Purge Valve... It takes the fuel vapors that are stored in a canister, and introduces them into the intake manifold. It has to do with vehicle emissions so the vapors don't escape into the atmosphere.

Since this is the random thread, I'll post some non-Jeep news.
I've been recently searching for a better paying job and just got off the phone with a random phone interview from the business I've been looking at.
I've never had a phone interview. The fact that I was not expecting it threw me off guard, but I think I handled it well. I hope to post more good news about this. :pepper:

Good luck!

I'm due for my annual review here in a few days. My boss gave me the inside scoop on my raise. Before taxes, the increase is enough to offset my increased cost in rent that my roommate sprung on me last month. I guess I'm not really getting ahead but it beats not having a job!

I think it's time to swap out the DuraTracs for the OEM tires, unfortunately. With the amount of driving I do, it's just not cost effective to keep them on for the summer months. If I can gain back the 3mpg that I lost for the duration of the summer, it'll help the 'ol wallet situation.
