When inserting the Stant 13519 thermostat into the top hose, to which end (toward the radiator or toward the stock thermostat) do you point the tip of the thermostat?

The bulb should go toward the stock thermostat. I set it just in to the hose and push it on the water outlet of the stock stat, so the bulb reaches as close to the stock one as possible.
