Just placed an order with JBA - Front OME HDs, front ironman shocks, front Terraflex bump, and a couple sets of lower isos for the rear. Oh and an engine skid!

I've been wheeling only a couple times and my saggy springs make that front xmemb a close friend with the ground. I'm hoping to get some clearance and a smoother ride!!! Even exiting a parking lot and going over speed bumps makes the front bottom out. Hoping my 235/70's don't look too small...

I'll be installing it all myself - can't count how many times I've done this on cars, but this is my first Jeep so I'm excited. :SOMBRERO:

To fix a mild stumble, I also picked up some new iridium plugs (is iridium a good idea for the lib?), fuel filter and air filter. Might pick up some wires too if this doesn't help.

Hope you mean you picked up some "upper rear isolators" not lowers, which springs did you get for the rear?
As far as plugs take those ones back and get a good set of copper
Wires?? better look again no spark plug wires on a 3.7

Yes, oops - lower isos. No rear springs yet. What I was planning to do is just the springs in the front right now (no clevis or spacer lift) and then get the rear up higher on the isos. Whaddya think - ok...or will it be too pre-runner? If so, I will wait for the rear parts and upgrade all at the same time.

Ah I'll return them - I was worried about that for the plugs - strange that up here there was nothing in the book at Canadian Tire in copper. Any particular brand/style that works best in the 6? Or just basic Champion/NGK single electrode?

Wires - hmm, didn't look into it yet - I guess we are COP aren't we. lol :goink:

Now I'm wondering if I should just add the rears to the order, but wondering if I need new shocks or not. The rears seem to still have good control. Or do they need to be longer travel?

I'm planning to throw in some hockey pucks for bumpstops.

Yes you will need longer rear shocks. If you have more then 50k on the KJ the shocks, front and rear, are shot.

And yes basic copper Champions or NGK's(OE part # listed on emission sticker on radiator support) changed every 30k.Takes less then 20mins to change the plugs on the 3.7.

Do the whole thing and be done, yes more money but in the long run worth it.
return the lower isolators and have that much down on the springs, and like tjkj mentioned need longer shocks anyways so they are a given

Yes I'm aware it'll be worth it Tom lol  Either way, it will not be long (few weeks at most) til I buy the rears anyhow, I just want a rough idea of what it will result in.

I'll have to check the service history from the PO - the rears seem to be holding up fine ride-wise in comparison to the front. I've read many threads and looked at many pics, but can't seem to get an idea of what it would result in if I just did the following:

Front: OME HD coils over ironmans with no clevis lift and no spacer. So let's assume 1.0" of sag, how much lift over current, 2" or 3"? I assumed that they are like the ironman, i.e. not really just 1.5" of lift just not sure what they end up at - Tom you've done lots of lifts, what do you think? (3.7, no heavy bumper, but will have the three panels of 4xG armour)

[Rear: 2 x 1/2" lower iso's on the stock springs/shocks = 1" rear lift - this one is easy]

Thanks for the feedback tjkj and tom.

Front is going to sit at about 21.5 or so with just front springs,
adding the two upper isos in the rear will bring it up an inch
So measure from middle of the wheel to where 21.5 is and see the difference/ then same in the rear up one inch and see if its going to be level or????

Thanks Tom - that's really helpful. I appreciate your help.

If it's too out of whack, I'll just wait until I have the rear parts.

Keep on Jeepin on! :JEEPIN:

Don't stack LOWER ISO's as Tom said return them and get UPPER ISO's.

Thanks guys. I did get the upper isos.

Strange though...it was at 18" all around. Did a 3/8" clevis and netted 19" and did the two rear isos and netted 20"! I did it all in mid June, re-measured yesterday. Funny, but a nice amount of lift!

Have been busy just wheeling like this for now, haven't had a lot of need for the rest of the susp yet.
