Thanks for the Pic. I could not wrap my mind around the upside down install. But makes total sense with the Pic.
This is like the fastman throttle body but using standard parts.

You're welcome. The throttle bodies look identical (3.7L and 4.7L) until you measure the difference. There's some kind of notch on the 4.7L that makes you have to mount it that way.
I've wondered if this mod is better or the same results as the fastman, Very happy so far. Surprised there's no check engine light yet.

After driving a bit more today, I have come to the conclusion lag is almost 100 percent eliminated from the throttle at any given speed. She's awake now!

I wish I could find a hypertech for a good price I'd love to use the two together

I was waiting for you to chime in! Obviously I know you're using the 4.7L throttle body, too. Stock intake? I think Morgan may have bought one from a member that was selling stuff.

They're both the same for the most part.
The "extras" you get with the Max Energy one are:
1. Change tire size (never heard anyone use it successfully yet).
2. Rev limiter increase or decrease (doesn't do anything and they are vague about it).
3. Turn on cooling fans at different temperature (need a different thermostat for this I believe).
4. Ability to change the Hypertech if you have different gear ratios.
5. Ability to run the "premium" tune which requires premium fuel (haven't tried it yet).
6. Change the top speed limiter.

Both the Econ and Max Energy supply the same tuning and dyno numbers for the "regular" tune. 24HP gain @5800RPM and 24TQ gain @4900RPM.

Good to know, thank you gage. I occasionally used premium fuel but I don't see much use for the rest. I would like the tire size adjuster and the gear ratio adjuster later on though

I'd be curious to see what gains, if any, are obtained on a stock setup with just this throttle body.

Yeah that feature is awesome for guys with different gears.
Like I've said, never heard of the tire size adjuster working on a Liberty yet. A few members have tried it.

TIJKK1220 is running his Liberty like that.
I doubt it's as extreme. Having a CAI makes the piping 3 inches. Now you're going from a 3 inch tube to a 3 inch throttle body. I'm guessing that larger and same size transition is bringing the results in. The programmer is probably just allowing it to work even better.
I went on Hypertech's Facebook to let them know what I was up to, but they didn't respond. I'll drop them another comment.

Good to know, thanks. I wish they would make a tuner for the 2011-2012. I already sent them an inquiry/request for one. I doubt there's much of a market for those model years.

There was improvement by adding the throttle body but currently I'm using the stock intake which means I'm going from a 2inch pipe to a 2.5-3 inch pipe so I'm choking the throttle a bit. But it did improve my mpg and throttle response

People are interested on this forum with the 2011 and 2012. I don't think it's possible to make a tune for it cuz they switched something, the canbus maybe? Anyways, it's a bummer that only some years can enjoy it while others have to sit and watch.

What kind of mpg improvement did you see?

Is it just me, or does the engine really like going faster now?
I've definitely been noticing longer coasts and it being easier to be at those awkward speeds of 40ish. Now it's easier to do so.
I've also noticed on a cold start the RPMS in park are higher than the usual by a tad, but driving around the RPMS seem to be normal or lower than usual. Really enjoying the KK all over again thanks to a $60 mod.

The crank over idle is higher. You'll notice slight surging at idle. And if you are to rev the engine in N you'll notice that the rpms hang for a while.

Your computer will start compensating for those things after a bit of time

How long have you had yours installed?

I haven't noticed any surging at idle.
Gonna team up with member lfhoward to compare some scangauge data to see if other things can be compared between stock and the 4.7L throttle body.
