Got it all assembled. I must say Swagoffroad put together a really well thought out piece here. All the parts fit in a priority mail gameboard box, so all 70lbs of it shipped for cheap. With the bottom die as it is, it put about a 1/2" outside radius on this piece of 10 gauge. Probably around 5/8" radius on 3/16" I'm guessing. I'm going to make shims to rest inside the bottom die to get tighter bends in smaller pcs. Can't wait to really mess with this thing!

I know you know that'll save you a ton of welding and grinding. Nice job putting it together. What are you using for a press?

Cool. It's on my wish list. I currently have no room for anything else. I hope we find a home in Chicago land with a decent size shop. Separate storage and parking!

1780 pounds! Yikes! cost? Must of been up there. Dirty stuff, huh? When I didn't have a roof rack, I'd wrap the stock in a old quilted kingsize bed spread and run it diagonally from the front passenger footwell to the drivers side rear. I can't remember the measurement but I'd have 20 footers cut down so they fit! It might had been 88 inches?

$1546.90... Yep its dirty esp the tube with the oily coating. When they cut it in half with the giant bandsaw there is a heavy stream of cutting fluid that stays with it in the bundles. I've tried everything as far as getting it home. Cut 10/10 and hanging out the back, cut 8/8/4 fit it all inside with lots of cardboard, had it delivered to a nearby casino parking lot and brought it back in multiple loads etc. I found its easiest to just call in my order and rent a trailer and drive to Sparks for pickup. Someday I hope to have a 4x8 plasma table and a forklift so all I have to mess with is full plates instead of the strips. Plate costs less too.. Here's my order, 'cw' stands for hundredweight, trade measurement for 'per 100 lbs'.

Would you ever consider making a rear bumper with a tire carrier for a KJ like the one you built for yours? :SOMBRERO: and if so how much would you charge because I would love to give you my money!! :pepper:

Mr. Helm, All our possessions are in Illinois now. It was no easy feat. The first load was a 26 foot Penske truck ( Diesel International) loaded with most household and my welding table and welder. We found out about half way through the loading process that there was no way all of it was going to fit. As it was we didn't load the Jeep on the trailer until 11:30 at night and managed a run to Kingman before fatigue said stop. We made it to Illinois without incident.
The next step originally was for the real estate agent to load the remaining in a pod (or 2) and ship it to us but delays in Vegas made us worried and we went to plan B.
My grandson, Jon and I jumped on a Spirit Airlines flight to Vegas, rented a 16 foot Penske (gas van), Loaded it to the hilt and drove it here. All was well until the Oklahoma Highway Patrol pulled us over for no box lights. After messing with it with Penske Roadside Assistance, the tech said he couldn't fix it and sent us on to Oklahoma City where the main Penske repair shop is. After a half a day of messing around they couldn't replicate the problem so the handed us a handful of fuses (stock 15's and a couple of 30's) and hit the road. The 15 they put in lasted 50 miles so we slapped a 30 in which got us here with lights. To make up time we drove straight through from OK City, living on gas station food, coffee and Mountain Dew. Got in at 4am and took 2 days off to recover.
Surprisingly we got all of the second load (mostly garage stuff) into the same storage unit but it is pretty much full. At lease most of the tools are semi accessible if I should need them. Got registered and licensed in Illinois so we don't look like tourists. Now we need a home with at least a 2 car garage and a storage shed. Can't wait!
