I just recently installed my setup, probably 3 weeks ago. I used the cheapy CB from Walmart, I think it was $35. I've used it twice so far off-roading and haven't had any issues. I used the door jamb mount by the tailgate. I really like this setup, it works perfect with my 3' firestick antenna, the pic below is with my 4' antenna (too high IMO). I used regular TV coax (had plenty of extra in a storage box); if you already have some, it works perfectly fine, no need to buy more (or different kind) that website's will try to sell you. The cable is designed to handle video and audio for TV's so it'll handle just audio easily. I installed the radio by the drivers right leg on the center console, my leg hardly ever touches it, and my wife is short and the seat doesn't hit it when she slides it forward. I mounted the bracket and the screws on the side of the unit make it a quick install and remove when I need to. As you can see I ran the COAX through the tail light area (drilled the hole and put a rubber grommet in) then over the wheel well behind the paneling, under the carpet to the center console, I drilled a half-inch hole right beside the drivers seat at the bottom of the center console for the coax to come out (never see the hole unless you look for it). I used one of the write ups I found on the forum for routing the cable, it had good pics and was done well. Hope these pics help.
