 Post subject: Oil drain plug? where?

where is the oil drain plug? Is it right next to the oil filter? It doesn't look like a "normal" bolt.

It's not a "normal" drain plug. Takes an allen wrench and about 60 lbs. of torque to break it loose. If you're going to change your own oil, I recommend you invest in the Fumato drain plug discussed in this forum.

Depends if you are a rock crawler or just a daily driver that goes on ocassional hunting/fishing trip. Here is where you get it and the adapter that is required http://www.lubricationspecialist.com/ Greg is good person to do business with. He got the special adaptor made for our CRD's special and didn't charge an arm and leg for that service.
