Do you set the same tire pressure on larger tires as stock tires? I have 245 75r16. I am not sure if they take a higher pressure than what is listed on the door jam.

This has drawn some discusssions down in the tire section
The traditional method of determining correct tire pressure is to take a piece of chalk - draw a line straight across the tire tread - drive a short distance (between 2-3 wheel revolutions and around the block) - if the center of the chalk line disappears 1st - your tire pressure is too high - if the outside edges disappear 1st your pressure is too low - try for the highest pressure where the chalk clears all the way across the tire - that should cause the tire surface to contact across the entire surface. (if one of the edges clears first - get the wheels aligned)

That's a great way to do it. Around here 38-40 seems to work on the mtr's for me.
