Mine has not been run in several days but when I went out and cranked it up the idle flared to ca 1000 (GDE tune), dropped to 760 or so, and then settled at 730 or so. Turned on AC and it went up a bit, turned off AC and it flared to ca 760 and settled at 73o or so. No clue where it normally runs but IIRC somewhere in the mid-700 range.

830 is a bit high but not drastically so, you might PM lancer and ask what his idles at as he is in the UK. I imagine it can be adjusted with the dealer or dealer equivalent scan tool but wonder if it's worth the bother. If you spring for a GDE tune I suspect they can adjust it also.

I wanted to do the MAF test to see if my rockers are healthy. Needs to idle about 750rpm to get a reading and compare. I am showing 22gs at 830rpm

The manual KJ has a higher idle speed than the automatic. Yours is correct. If it is set too low it makes it easier to stall the engine with clutch engagement and can lead to more vibration.

MAF will vary linearly with rpm so simply adjust your target range by multiplying by 830/750

Many thanks for the answer

Are my maths correct? 830 rpm divided by 750rpm = 1.106 x target fig 17gs = 18.81 @830 rpm
