What Tom said. 245/75-16 come out to be just under a 31x10 tire. A 265/75-16 is pretty much a 31x10.5 tire. Fitting the tire isn't the problem when you're lifted. However, if you want to run a 15" rim compared to a 16" rim there are a few hoops to jump through. 16s will clear with any specs(certain specs will cause tire rub on suspension parts or fenders). 15s will need at least 3.75" of backspacing to clear the rotors, calipers, ball joints etc. Which in turn can/sometimes will cause rub.

For backspacing the lower the number, the farther the wheel sits out. 3.75" of backspacing on a 7" wide wheel will sit out further than 4" of backspacing on a 7" wide wheel. However, 4" of backspacing on a 7" wide wheel will sit differently than 4" of backspacing on an 8" wide wheel.

245-75-16 =30.5
31X10.50X15 = 30.7
265-70-16 = 30.7
265-75-16 = 31.7
265-75-16 is the same as a 32X11.50X15 at 31.7

I am running the 15x8 cragars with 3.75 backspacing and like -20 offset with 32/11.5r15 it hit the bumper alittle so I trimmed it and hit the pinch welds so I bent them flat and no rub after that

That was my big question. 31 x 10.5 and 245's are almost exactly the same size. Is the back spacing that much different between the 15 and 16 inch steel rims?

Backspacing and the wheel diameter is two completely different things when discussing what fits and what doesn't
What gets you on a 15 inch wheel unless you go to like 3.75 or so backspacing is the fact it will hit the rotor in front.
Then of course you are sitting the wheel/tire combo out more so more of a chance of it hitting flares/ bumper etc

It clears the rotor fine, it's the lower ball joint bolt that's the issue. I have 3.75 bs with a 7" wide rim The tires clear the flare but not some of the plastic up front, I had to trim some and do the pinch welds. The tire swings a radius now so clearances have changed a bit. You can get backspacing almost any way you want but they wont go all the way on without trimming the lower ball joint bolt which I don't think is a good idea.
