Lol there really isn't much that I want for the Jeep. I keep telling myself I'll get JBA upper control arms if I ever see them on sale or for cheap being sold from a member, but nothing else has been spiking my interest.

Yet, I need to install my 4" lift. From there extended brake lines and sway bar links. Then 32s, 4.56s, detroit truetracs front and rear. Then I think I'll be done. With the big stuff at least.

I was thinking about ARBs, but honestly I don't really need them. Plus my girlfriend wants the KK so I might not even be keeping it. If she gets it ARBs will sit and go to waste(and that's an expensive waste. With Truetracs they'll kick in automatically and the Jeep should handle better for her in dangerous conditions.

A JKU is the next(and possibly last) vehicle so that will have ARBs.

With all that said, I have no plans of ditching the KK until 2016 at the earliest.

It gets expensive quickly... In hind sight I wish I had gotten my wife a more expensive diamond but I was making half of what I am now.

My wife didn't want anything fancy just a typical solitare diamond. So I got the biggest and clearest one I could get.

My twin brothers wife wanted a halo diamond as they are apparently in style. Those are big bucks...

Anyway good good luck with whatever you find out. Planning to pop the question is something that you'll never forget.

Thank you. Luckily she said she isn't a fan of the halo style, so I may be in the clear there as far as money is concerned.

I plan on doing the same - getting the biggest and clearest diamond I can afford now. And there's always the option to upgrade later in life when I'm better off financially.

When I proposed to my (now) wife, I couldn't afford anything too expensive, but I was so ready to marry her, so I went ahead and bought the best I could at that time. We've been married 8 years (as of two days ago), and since then, I've been secretly putting money in a savings account to buy her a new ring for our 10 year anniversary.

A big ring means nothing at all in how a relationship is or how long it will last. It only shows someone spent a ton of money that could otherwise go for something to help start two peoples life on an easier note. Too many times a guy will go all out for the biggest/best ring and all it amounts to is showing off to others. A woman that loves you won't care about the size of the diamond only about how much you love her. Too many get caught up in the advertising by diamond companies and the "oh look how big stone is"

Agreed, Tom. That's why I'm not going nuts with mine. I'd rather have some money for the future.

That's honestly how I shop for all of my girlfriend's jewelry. I go out and look for what I like most then try to make a deal. I mean obviously there's a limit on how much I'll spend, but other than that it doesn't matter if it costs $100 or $1000. I buy what I like.

I should probably start thinking ahead about rings and a home....but 21 year old me says different...

Have fun for a few years !
At 21 ( 1975) I was married, had a 120 acre farm ,new Ford pickup, 3 Jeeps, 55 Chev, 32 Ford, old Harley chop, 19 head of cattle , 2 pigs and some chickens plus all of the farm equipment that it takes to run a farm.
At 28 signed it all over to my soon to be Ex and bought another Jeep plus another Harley and partied for the next few years . :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
Oh the farm with house, barn , garage, all out buildings and all farm equipment etc was less than a Jeep Wrangler cost these days ........................ :banghead:

Enjoy life right now. I'm only five years older than you but I'm married, a dad, and I own my own home. Life gets complicated quickly.

I wouldn't change anything about my life right now, but I wish I still had time to be young. My wife and I go to work every day and on the weekends and week nights we have our daughter. So staying out late and partying isn't an option. My daughter is worth it but you do miss going out on dates and doing fun stuff.

Boy, life sure does get complicated quickly. A little over 8 years ago I was 22 and single. Now I'm married, with 3 children, own a house, have a grown-up job. I never regretted a thing about getting married so young, and neither does my wife (she was barely 18 when we got married). It's been nice to be able to "grow up" and mature with someone like that.

So, I narrowly missed hitting a bear last night in my KK... I've never seen a wild bear before. That would have caused some serious damage.

Wow, down by York? I've had to stop and let them cross the road in the Delaware Water Gap, but I haven't seen a bear down by York or Lancaster. (Lived in SE PA / Philly area for 8 years) They can get pretty huge! :dizzy:

I've seen a few black bears on family property upstate. They were never too big. But there were a few that were monsters in the area.

Anyways, my girlfriend and I want to wait until we're out of school and actually have grown-up jobs. After that saving for a home comes next. We'll get there eventually.

Sounds like a good friend of mine and his girlfriend, wanting to wait for this/ for that/ something else
After dating for the last 43 years they own two homes, she lives in one in town, he lives in one in the country, always wanted kids but always was waiting for something else they were saving for, He eats dinner at her place 3 nights a week , she eats at his place 4 nights a week
Moral of the story, if you are always saving for something else , new home, new car, new boat, new .....you'll never get married

I've heard of them in the area before, I've just never saw one. This one wasn't too big, but it was big enough to cause soem damage.
