when i used to have an XJ i frequented cherokeeforum.com. there was a thread devoted to interior modifications. people posted things like storage organizers they had built, fishing rod holders, and i remember one guy had mounted a tablet computer in his dash.

lets start one here. post pics and descriptions of your interior mods. i'm more interested in functional mods over cosmetic but post anything you think other people might be interested in. wish i had something to get the ball rolling but i just bought my KJ and havent done anything to it yet. i'm hungry for ideas!

Lots of those items are located in the fabrication section. Good information there

I think a central hub for interior specific mods is a convenient way to share ideas. If someone has already posted their mod in the fabrication section they can just link back to it. Otherwise you have to browse the fab section a lot to find just interior mods. The thread I mentioned on cherokeeforum.com was really useful.

I wired a green led to my instrument cluster that lights up when my fan turns on. Just so I know that its coming on for peace of mind.

The cooler setup looks great. I looked up the rear rack you mentioned....I want one. It is a little pricey at $320. I might try building my own.

Cooler, pfffffft.. You mean refrigerator ;-)

The rack is a fantastic piece and the brackets are worth the whole cost. Check out the Roclizard rear rack, I think he is now making one.

Hey rich, how much was your engel? I'm going to be going the arb route with a dual battery set up underneath the rear 1/3 seat portion after it's removed.

I get wholesale through my side job... don't want to make you feel bad ;-)

I will run my fridge 10hr periods in the summer, and as long as I leave a couple windows cracked to let the heat out, I have enough to crank the truck and then some. It's only a 5a draw at start and maybe a 3a during the run sequence. In 90* temps I keep it on ~level 3/8 and my beer is nice and cold and the milk stays fresh! This was with a healthy Diehard Platinum Group 34. Picked up a Group 65 to replace it tonight, should be good for winter starts, and longer runs of the fridge.

If all else fails, I have a 60w portable solar charger for the truck that keeps the fridge, stereo, and HAM running all day long.

That looks like an obstructed vision ticket waiting to happen. LOL

I've heard of them giving out obstructed vision tickets for those hanging air fresheners in Illinois. They use it for an excuse to pull people over and check them out,

I got pulled over for improper display of license plates. When I got the plates I threw them on the dash. On the way home from work I got stopped for improper display. He only wrote me a warning, but what a pain. My plates weren't yet expired and for all he knew those plates were for a completely different vehicle or trailer.

I got back at him by outrunning him in a different vehicle about an hour later.
