Hey guys I'm new to the forum and shopping for a CRD. I have read the noob guide but was wondering if there's a checklist that's ever been made up for looking over a potential CRD you'd like to buy? Also there is one particular CRD that I'm looking at that was towed behind an RV. Anyone have experience with this automatic transmission and being pulled on all fours? Should I run or not have any concern with this? Also I have one that had ecm problems and was a dealer buy back but the unit was replaced. Is this a common problem with these? I haven't been able to find anything on web saying it was a problem. I plan t do everything in the noob guide once I purchase something. What I'm mainly looking for are things I can check that would be huge deal breakers or reasons/signs that I should stay away from a particular vehicle.

NO issues with flat towing a 4WD Libby. As far as the CRD part, get the Carfax and the Chrysler VIP report and find out what dealer they used to get that dealers in house report. You'll know a lemon by the length of the reports. Then be prepared to spend money when it breaks anyway. It's a love/hate thing.......

There's the full carfax on the particular CRD I'm looking at. I have found others that are well within my price range. I'm leaning toward this one because it's in great shape, was owned by an older couple (no off-roading) and the dealership is literally giving me $2,500 more for my trade in than anyone else.

That Buyback/Lemon Brand is a serious bargaining chip. Go to town on that dealer. I would have a hard time paying much at all for a car with a brand of any type.
