Torque Pro MAF readings.

Hey guys.....
I finally got around to buying an Android tablet and downloaded Torque Pro. I received a Bluetooth OBDII adapter (thanks mom and dad) as a Christmas gift and got everything set up. My MAF reading came out to be about 17.8 g/s at idle. Where I am at in NC is at about 322 feet above sea level. I did some searching and based up the threads I found....I believe my rockers *should* be in ok shape based upon that data. Am I correct in saying that? The temp outside was about 50-52 degrees and my idle was 763 rpm's. I do have 2 questions:
1-Is it normal for the MAF reading to fluctuate at idle? Mine fluctuated anywhere from 17.5-18.1 with it hanging mostly at about 17.8.
2-I noticed that if I pressed the accelerator....my reading went up with the idel but then settled back down to about 9.5-10 g/s. Is that normal? After pressing the peddle...would I need to wait 1 minute for the value to return to the previous 17.8 g/s? I pulled the OBDII sensor and plugged it back in. After waiting for the connection to re-establish...it was back at 17.8 g/s.

As always....and thoughts and information is greatly appreciated.

I'd guess you should be fine, don't worry, per gde your readings are perfect.

Thanks for the reply. Thats what I was hoping to hear. To be honest....I was expecting worse results. My CRD has 137,000 miles on it and is stock. No Eco-tune or anything. I'm not sure if the EGR valve is even functioning at this point but it is a 100% stock CRD. I'm hoping to add the GDE Eco-tune soon though.

Here is a screen capture of my Torque Pro , running on the highway commute to work .

This is after Head Gasket , rockers , intake cleaning and timing belt .
I am Canadian so have my torque set to Metric.
Note my Temp , this was before putting the Stant thermostat in and my stock is stuck open.

Thanks for the pic. My thermostat is stuck open so my coolant temp was in the low 60's Celsius (switched my readouts to standard after I got home from my test run). Have you ever had the system go wonky from running with your OBDII adapter plugged in and driving for an extended period of time? I thought I remember someone saying that after driving for a while with it plugged in it started reading/acting funny.

One other thing I did notice....at idle my boost reading was actually at a slight vacuum. Is that normal?

Mine does the same , and I read that in another post as well. If you leave it plugged in all the time it looses connection somehow .

Depends on your
- a. altitude and
- b. dirty air filter - observe the reading with engine running, lift the airbox cover off the filter element - if dirty air filter, reading will normalize

KJ CRD intranet doesn't allow for uninterrupted scantool polling when vehicle is in motion due to Antilock Braking System ABS module
- can kick out of overdrive
- can downshift at hiway speeds
- can cause ABS failure indicator, with loss of braking control

I went out yesterday and plugged my device in and fired up the tablet. At idle....my boost reading was -0.5 psi. I unbuckled the top of the air filter box and that had affect on the reading. A couple of side notes-I do need to clean the MAP sensor as it has been a while and I am certain my vanes are suck as the adjusting rod doesn't move when I disconnect the vacuum connection (despite doing several Italian tune ups and I have been too lazy to pull the turbo to clean the inside of it). Also....should the MAF reading be steady at idle or is it normal for it to fluctuate?
