I've got some Eagle Series 137 16x8 Wheels with BF Goodrich 255/70-16s on them and I'm curious (for when I'll have to replace these BFGs) what other tires would fit this style wheel (if anyone has experience with this style) or if any tire would fit??

Anything shoud fit. Nobody but jeepin Al goes wider than a 265, and you're already at a 255, so I doubt it will be a problem.

The only real differences in a 16" rim are the width and the backspacing. A stock liberty wheel is 7" wide, and they seem to be able to run 215 all the way up to 265 with no problems. So with yours being 8", if anything, the only limit would be that you can't run a tire that is too narrow.

Something to look into is figuring out what you have for a backspacing. Probably doesn't matter much, seeing as you already have a 255 on there, but it might be good just to know what you've got.

I had those same wheels used for a test fit!!!

They where 16x8 with 4.5" backspace. I had them mount one of my LT245/75R16 BFG A/T's. They rubbed before full lock while sitting flat. I had allready trimmed the pinchweld and heatgunned the front. Knew they would rub way to much for offroad.

I'm only up 2", so they would work good with a 2.5"-3.0"

I'm still on the stock wheels for now. I would like to find some 16x7 with 4.5"-4.75" backspace, will keep stock wheels till then.

The Rubicon "Moab" rims a lot of us run are 16X8 so you shouldn't have any problems. 245/75/16 works fine on mine.
