 Post subject: Front dif replacement, have to pull both sides?

Well, I picked up another CRD as an investment, and it looks like I'll be working for free on this one... Anyhow, I've taken the whole front end apart before, but can I drop the front dif by just taking a lesser number of things apart? I'm guessing just the drivers side? I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me what to pull, and what not to pull as this was an undisclosed "bonus" on this purchase :furious:
