Well I thought it was illegal for citizens to imitate emergency lights unless you are a volunteer emergency response person. But even then you're supposed to have a different colour. So maybe it was that though?

Those lights didn't look police issue. They looked really cheap. Even most undercover cops will have spot lights on their a pillars.

A lot if things don't add up if it was a police officer. However it may have been a volunteer firefighter etc. I know that 4x4kayak is an emt and had a emergency bar for quite some time in his liberty.

So heres the low down on emergency lights in Texas (atleast my county)

Some LEOs (cops) have vice units, meaning they have hide away lights that makes it look like a everyday car. The plates would give it away if it was exempt. Also alot of LEOs run side jobs as security/visual safety for construction crews. So it could of been one of the two.

Now, a Fire Fighter, EMT, LEO can run Red/Blue lights in our county and most of Texas. My Fire Cheif who is a retired LEO, currently a city judge, has red/blues. Now i run all reds becuase i dont wanna me mistaken for a LEO. I am a Firefighter/EMT.

From what I've heard it's very hard to get red lights in New Jersey and pretty much anyone can get blue. Glad I got it on camera...

It's not that hard with the internet! When I bought all my lights, I was never asked for my permit to run them. Just put them in your shopping cart and wait!

There is even a place on CL that sells used Police issue light bars and lights.

Here in Ohio some undercover have regular plates like anyone else
Not all run state or local county plates
Used to work closely with some undercover , they even used confiscated cars with the owners plates still on them but had red/blues installed
Most of the Sargent's and higher ups never have spot lights or any other lights on the outside, all hidden

Good point, Tom. I have also heard about cops driving around in confiscated vehicles before.
Still have no idea why he stopped at the green light in the middle of the road. :lol:

Long story short, when I uploaded to youtube, I was able to silence most of it with video manager. The last minute or so I had to add a song so you wouldn't hear profanity from the original clip. :cry:

Car in front of me hit a deer. Absolutely no damage, but some deer doo doo on her hood. That could have been much worse.
Speed limit is 45, we were probably going 40.

I really need to buy my brakes...too bad the PowerStop Z36 brakes I've been trying to get for over a month have been dealing with labor disputes and they don't have any at any retailer...

Judging from the damage on the front...that car was texting and rear ended a uninsured/illegal driver who just left the scene haha.

It looks like there was a puddle of fluid on the shoulder of the road. Not much for them to crash into besides another vehicle.
Maybe they went off the road and lost control even more when they hit the ice and snow.
