All front shocks are going to be the same length for stock KKs and lifted KKs. I believe Ironman's are a tad longer, but it really makes no difference. The front HD Bilsteins are stiff, but they work very well with the 927 OME springs.

Anyways, I'm assuming you're talking about 4" rear Bilstein shocks. I'm thinking about upgrading to those(gotta email Marlin to see what the part number is). I just want to try and measure everything out before I go buying again.

It honestly won't be much visually. When the weather warms up I need to repaint my sliders, and JBA adjust-a-struts. Then it's probably just the longer sway bar links or whatever else is needed.

I have the KK to about where I want it. I need to visit a good alignment guy to see if he can get it in at 4". That'll definitely determine if 32s are put on(more then likely they will, even with the 3.5" lift). I'll probably be pounding the pinch weld and massaging the wheel well liners, but no real cutting. Then it's regear time, and adding Detroit TrueTracs. I don't have a need for a locker, and the LSD will suit my needs and in the future, my girlfriend's needs.

same here. rear shocks are shot.

well, if my "lockers" are real, or are just really really good LSD, ill want a true locker, not a LSD when I do open the difs up.

Get ironman 4x4 shocks that's what I run and they are so smooth all around

Do you mean these? They say they're only for 1.5 inches of lift. I'm getting 3inches

I know this is a little behind lol but I already wrote it so yes those will work because that's exactly what I have with the top plate and clevis spacer and I'm at least 3.5"

If I remember right I think there is a photo showing the opposite of the comment above about the length of the ironman shock being shorter but Im pretty sure it's longer. If you get the ironman shocks for the back as well you will need the extra long. I think they are a really good product.

But if you want to make sure call Marlin there at JBA and he will set you up with everything you need. (But call him earlier in the day it's easier to get a hold of him)

The 4" rear Bilstein shocks are 33-185552...these are the 5125 series with the truck valving (they have another identical in length with softer valving).

You just made my life easier. Thank you, now to determine what length I need...when the weather warms up.

Jeepmonkey, are you still running the JKS quick discos? How are they working out? Quiet on the street? Fitment is good?

that's the most aggressive nitro I've seen. don't really care for them. they would be good off road if it wasn't for the engine and "tcase". you really are limited without 4by lo. 4by lo has saved my bacon a couple of times. im speaking of the time I thought I had a submarine jeep.

Not yet. Front is at 3.5, and the rear is an inch lower. I like the level look, so both front and rear measure to 21.5".

Well you're looking at 33-185606 which has 14"-22.5" collapse-extended length is you're ideal current shock length.

I currently have 24-185660 which JBA sells as the 2.5" lift. They go from 14.6"-23.6". I'm just wondering if I can get more flex out of the rear, you know?

I sure am and they are still working great and they make no noise what so ever. If you get them you won't regret it.

TEASER ALERT!!!
I'm going to look into getting Currie AntiRocks and yes I know they don't make it specifically for the KK :CAMPING:

A 3.7 equipped Nitro has an identical powertrain as our Liberty. The only difference is the Nitro has a 1 speed transfer case and lacks 4Low.

Now a 4.0 Nitro has the car based v6 and 5 speed auto. That's totally different. It's more powerful, but not as favored in the heavy SUV because it needs to rev for power. The truck based 3.7 on the other hand has the torque down low to get moving.
