Those tires are definitely not helping mileage. How's it feel power wise? It's gotta be a whole different animal. That's pretty high for 55. I think 65-70 sat around 2k when stock.

Tom, you can always have custom gears made  God knows what that would cost though. Probably an arm and a leg...

Tom, tires are a 10-ply with Cooper's Armor-Tec 3-ply sidewall. 4.30 is also considering that we had stock width, but with the extra 40mm per tire it balances it out nicely!

Bmx, 70mph I'm at 25-2600 RPMs now haha. I am shifting sooner when in the city. Gently aaccelerating I get to 25mph and shift to 3rd. As far as power? I don't know yet because I'm following the break in procedures and not accelerating quickly until the 500mi oil change. But with just a toe on flatland I can get up to 55 very smoothly.

Swapped out the 12v outlet cover and added a second outlet. Still need to wire it up though.

Nice work! Looks factory (or how it should have come from the factory). :)

Thanks, they are the newer style plugs that Chrysler has been using. I got them from a junkyard along with something else for another project that I'll be sharing soon. :frankie:

For those of you that are playing along at home, I used a 1" spade bit to drill out the hole and then a file to get it just right. I also had to file out a slot because there was a key on the outlets I used. Positioning-wise, the outlet has to be closer to the switch bank to clear the rib behind the panel (the left side has a molded indent already). I'm planning on wiring it directly (fused of course) to the battery so the icons match up.

Looks good. I might have to add that to the list this spring/summer. Anyone know if it's possible to wire the 2nd one to the key like the factory outlet?

Just use the + wire in the existing outlet to trigger a relay for the new one. Power the relay from the battery so there isn't any extra load on the factory circuit to the original outlet.

How hard was it to get the center console face off so that you access the rear are where the wiring is?

It's pretty easy. Normally it just pulls right off. Check the tech section. I think digger made a how to for it.

So, normal driving with 265/75s 10-ply and 4.56s and the spare on the roof, I get about 12mpg now...ouch...

(Yes, it's after difference calculations.)

How is acceleration, overall driveability, hows it do on hills etc?
