If it is a pre-F37 526 map would it benefit me to swap that with my post-F37 526?

Yeti says torque maps are the same and you confirmed that it is not pre-F37 :(

My guess is that the pre-F37 and 5v update files would have a different software number than the 7 volt versions but ....
We need someone to provide a file with the 5 volt update or pre-F37.

Just read this thought it was interesting

http://www.hdi-tuning.co.uk/downloads/w ... DC15C2.pdf

Our jeep is an 03 export model, I have a cable and titanium software installed on a win 8.1 machine running xp in oracle environment.

Our jeep is non vairable vane, its a wastegated turbo. Super slow of the mark and acceptable when boosting. I have been chasing a P1130 error

fuel rail for a while, I wanted it to be mechanically A1 before playing with ECU. After the weekend testing injectors, replacing MPROP solenoid in pump, replacing fuel rail pressure sensor etc etc

Ill do the F1 Ecu ID when I get home but guessing its the 2.8L CRD Bosch EDC 15C2 K-Line driver?

I think ill upload the ECU file and see what I have and see if it can be improved off idle at all.

So a 603 has half the maps of the others.

Has anyone edited one yet?

I tried to load some of the mild tunes from
dropbox other software versions just to check
the maps but they will not open as titanium cant find correct driver.

or do I just up the fuel pressure a little and test drive?

Sorry. Yes the 603 maps are there and i can change them.

The original has been uploaded.

I wanted to have a look at upgraded maps to see how much fuel pressure and toque limiters had been changed on others maps.

Or i can just increasing and see hoe i go?

So regardless with what issues our car may have, Im thinking now, maybe a sad car with mild tune is better than a sad car with a standard tune.

If I want to remove the off the line lag, am i looking at increasing by 10% figures in the 800 rpm to 2000 rpm range for fuel pressure/ torque limit/injection part throttle ?

here are my current tables

So this has been an interesting process. I am really new to programming working on vehicles this way. I have a 05 Liberty and have wanted to make some changes to increase performance and fuel mileage. I have had the CEL and research indicates that it is EGR related. This weekend I decided to take the plunge and start making some mods. I didn't realize the significance of the 808 vs. the 811 programs. I am under the impression they are probably year specific or ECM specific. Not realizing this, I first tried an 808 program. This left the jeep dead. I reloaded the stock flash and brought it back to life. I then tried an 811 program with success. Things were really good and after 60-80 miles the CEL returned. The CEL is intermittent and I feel I need to start looking closer at the hardware end of this. I will check or replace the turbo and intake hoses, and clean out the EGR/FCV over the next few weeks. I’m sure this will be educational as well.

Thank you all for the incredible information I have found here. I'm sure I will spend way to much time here :)

Yes I think think the software is ecu specific 811 or 808 or 603 or whatever.

I was hoping to have a glance at some typical increases people have made in other maps, even if not the same as mine

so I dont go over the top anywhere.

Ill have to try some more off dropbox to compare, but it seems most maps I load except for mine do not find the right drivers, for me to view?

I increased everything lots

no race car off the line, but not dead flat anymore

Wife says she doesnt notice flat spot at all now

This is a band aid masking low fuel prssure or something else, but for now it is running much better,

and I feel it is safer pulling out into traffic

no black smoke out the back yet either

:)

Thanks to Nick and everyone else on this forum, although this is a one man topic at the moment
here are observations.

I have loaded up the 603 version

of

Nick-808-EGR_FCV_Delete-someHP_Tune(v1[1].01)

Im hoping the 'someHP' of the title means mild tune :D

The jeep idles smooth when cold, the steering wheel used to vibrate with engine running rough.

There is hardly any flat spot, doesnt chirp the tyres like the Hemi, but it pulls away slowly for a couple of seconds then pulls fairly hard up to speed. Not bad for old waste gated turbo I think. Only revs to about 3500rpm before shifting gears which is fine.

One of the biggest faults with our jeep is often it would run rough in overdrive under slight load which happens to be about 1800 to 2000 rpm. If it you give it gas it would eventually kick down and run smooth.

The flat spot taking off, was also about 1800 to 2000rpm.

Now even in overdrive, its pretty smooth, give it a little gas and it pulls some in overdrive, give it a little more and goes down a gear, but smoother like you dont notice it, and it pulls. Previously it would drop down, rev smoother, but not really go anywhere.

I am very happy with everything so far.

My only thoughts on all of this so far, is what was my initial low fuel pressure problem that im masking, and why is the factory 603 programming so low compared the later tunes. Ill have to check but Im pretty sure I have doubled some of the values.

And no smoke or overfuelling

So thanks everybody, happy here. Anyone can have this tune if they want for the 603 not sure if its right for everyone as I was trying to get it off the line masking another fault with our jeep, but I can confirm I thrashed it around last night and it was great and didnt go Bang, but I do not have an EGT gauge or anything.

Hi everyone, first post here, but have been following the thread since I got my Jeep. It's an 06 Cherokee (Liberty), not sure if American, Europe or something else, I'm from Costa Rica and the Jeep was originally bought here.

Maps version is 806 (not mentioned before) so I'll share with all of you.

Compared with the stock maps 808, 812, etc.. and most maps are different (pre-F37 tuning perhaps).

I did as suggested, first EGR/FCV and test drive. Not amazing results but definitely improved driving and less smoke.

Next, I went with Yeti's 808 Mild v1.02. Took long to review and make the changes to my file, but the results are awesome, not sure on fuel economy but that's some serious power! Marco(Yeti) did a great job with this tune, and all involved in this project, THANK YOU!!

1037380806-oem-stock

I'll share the modififed files later, couldn't wait to post after long drive today! :JEEPIN:

Can someone tell where is the map that limits torque while in TC Lockup, in the 808 file?? I would like to play with it, while I can afford an upgraded TC.

Thanks again!!

-Andres

Hi I am in the UK with a early 2006 crd. Manual tranmission. Can you confirm If I uploaded DIY map that this would just delete egr and get me the extra power. Or do you need to physically remove the egr bits and replace with an elbow etc.

:D
Thanks

Drive up to 60mph and hold speed.
If the tachometer is:
- 1700-1800rpm does not have F37
- 1900+ has F37

The final shift was changed from about 58 to about 62 mph.

Thanks Squeeto. F37 it is :|

I've been playing around with mods, fun fact is that I get similar fuel consumption (aprox. 20mpg - 380 miles per tank) regardless if it's stock, EGR disabled, more power or more visible smoke... am I doing something wrong?

Guess I'll stick with more power/same mpg rather than stock... until I can afford new TC and GDE tune.

Here's my EGR/FCV delete tune:

Finally got my shipment on slowboat from china. When I open the file, it asks for MPPS version and serial no. Where do I get this info and is it important? I am hoping the MPPS cable will connect with my NON-OBDII Libby. If not, do I have any options?

Thanks
