So after not being able to get out of my driveway Monday after the snow I decided its time for new tires. Currently I have a OME 2.5 inch lift and stock 16 inch wheels with 1.25in spidertrax spacers. Would I be able to fit 265/70r16 or go with a 245/75r16?

id stick with 245/75s. stock should be 225/75s. huge difference between the two tires.

ok. now im confused. I have a renegade came with 235/70r16 stock. And in the link you posted it says the 265/70r16 is wider than the 245/75r16. I have spidetrax's 1.25inch adapter and 2.5in of lift. So it wouldn't fit even with all this

Confused How ??
265-70-16s and 245-75-16s are the same height basically so either will fit just the 265-70s are a little wider is all

stock tires are wrangler Goodyear. general grabbers aren't stock by any means.

if you choose 265/70, 1.25" spacers would rub. if you get 245/75s, the spacer will be acceptable. look up Gageraid, he has spacers. though I do believe he has stock tires still.....

The 265s will fit, if they do rub it will be the width and most likely on the pinch weld. So flatten that and reshaper the wheel well liner in that area and you'll be good.

245/75/16s require no folding of the seam.
265s like bmxer said need to be trimmed and folded.

I like wider, I honestly would have gotten 265/70-16 Duratracs, but they didn't make that size when I lifted(now they do :banghead: ). Would have been better for the beaches. That said, my 245s still float. They're just shy of 10"(I think they're 9.8" or something like that) wide compared to 265s that are 10.5" wide.

I'm thinking of dropping back down to the 265-70-16s on mine , lowering the suspension some and trying something a little different than most

That would make an animal. Maybe one day when there's no emission check and you can gut the safety stuff.... I think NY is 10 or 15 years for that lol.
