I assume that's the case, too. I didn't see that as a requirement in Jeep's recommended service for the mileage but the tech made it seem like that was the case. If they don't rectify the problem tomorrow I'll be having a chat with the general manager since they talked me into a service I apparently didn't need and has since screwed something up.

No matter what, it was running fine when they took possession. They have to fix it. It's not like cleaning anything should bring about problems, especially on a fairly new vehicle.

That's the worst part. I've never brought a vehicle to a shop to have it come out running worse than when it went in. They're denying me a loaner vehicle too, although I may raise enough of a stink where if it's not fixed by tomorrow that they should let me take a WK2 home or something and none of their 2006 Hyundais they like to hand out.

Inflated the tires again... 40 psi rode almost butter smooth but the KK was extremely sloppy driving. The whole Jeep went side to side when I went over a medium bump or pot hole. Was almost as bad as passing a semi on a windy day going 70 mph. Tires are currently sitting at 45 psi. Il check tomorrow morning when their cold for an all around 45 psi.

I did chuckle. More so because at first I read it as 18.3mpg. :ROTFL:
I'm guessing this was mostly city?

Just got a call from the dealership. They apparently found the issue and said that they knocked a vacuum line loose during the plug replacement. Apparently with the loosened line, the engine thought I was taking in more air and therefore compensated by adding more fuel, hence the major consumption yesterday and today and the fact that it wouldn't go into Eco Mode. I'll be picking it up in 15 minutes or so. We'll see...

As long as it's right, I don't care what they had to do. It's driving fine so far. No RPM surging.

It may just be me from driving the PT Cruiser they gave me but would changing the plugs add any pep to it? It seemed peppier than normal.

driving anything other then your daily driver for a day isn't going to make you accustom to the other car. and its possible your old spark plugs had carbon build up or were incorrectly spaced. did you get them back?

I know when my KK goes in the shop, I put it in writing that I demand any extra parts or old parts.

No, I didn't get them back. Although I suspect that if the engine is indeed snappier, maybe gas mileage will improve since it seems to take less throttle to get up and go?

Dealt with scraping off the molding tape, but it was worth it.

Went wheeling. Had to go through 8" of untouched snow to get to the spot...but never made it. Well...the KK could've...but a TJ on 35s couldn't. I ended up dragging him up the mountain for about 1/2mi until he brakes and stops us and then he back it into a ditch...bottoming out his rear axle and I could no longer pull him out. All four tires of his were spinning...

Pics will come once I get them haha.

Me and my friend with the F250 diesel on 37s went up to recover the Jeep. Had to use a tire iron to break up the snow and ice so his tires had traction to pull.

How did he get stuck? He didn't see the big hole that was about to cause this?
Surprised he couldn't get out himself.

His rear diff was hung up on the shoulder, no way he was getting out alone. There was a huge shoulder drop and he backed into it. When he gassed it to go forwards he was sliding backwards and even after braking he was sliding backwards. And then he got stuck there haha. To sum it up, he's from California......

Stopping was probably the worse thing. If he kept it in gear and crawling, maybe he would have had enough inertia to get through the little ditch it reverse when he was sliding.

.......nope, it slid into the mountain and he had no weight on his tires since the diff housing was sitting on the road's asphalt.

Hopefully the damage doesn't cost much. I'm just busting his chops cuz he has a nice looking Wrangler. I get surprised when these things get stuck. Snow is not easy to wheel on with that sliding factor.
