Well if we get the number of mouths to feed, I will try to buy as much as we need, brats, burgers, steak. There's a quiet small limit to the amount of money I can front for this, since I'm just a kid working as a dishwasher at Tony's. Donations will be appreciated, obviously :D ...understand that I will be broke without them (think $7 an hour). I'm not trying to harp on this, but I just don't want to be left out in the cold

Hold off on that sirloin for me. As it looks, I'll be missing the meeting and staying up in the hills to camp after all of the trailing. Thanks anyway.

fisheye....that's not a bad idea.

Perhaps camping the whole weekend and meeting at the trailhead would be cool, but, I plan to explore the strange people that invade Boulder Creek Festival every year during Memorial weekend. What an experience!

John, Borders it is. Now for a time.

Borders works for me. Just post what time you want to meet.

Don't spend a lot on food guys. I will be glad to pitch in $$ wise but don't plan to eat much.

I actually like to stop at Conway's Red Top whenever I am in the springs. :D

So what time do you guys expect the meeting portion of this event to start? I'm probably busy Sunday morning and again I just don't have a huge interest in running the same trail two times in a row. If we can nail down an approximate time on the meeting I will definitely try to make that.

I'm willing to chip in for the food. Count me in for 2 adults and 1 pre-teen girl. I'm really stoked about the run and the meeting. See y'all about 8:45.

Does anyone else still want a steak? I can get a 2 pound sirloin for ~$16 (New York steak 1 lb. same price). I'm getting the brats 4 for $8 and the patties 2 for ~$5. So far I'm gonna bring 8 brats and 8 patties, at least. If anyone doesn't think this will be enough, let me know.

How does 7:30 sound for meeting at Borders? It's just a little over an hour from there to the springs...I imagine it depends on where we are meeting in the springs. How does that sound for you guys? (Tokyo and Phil)

I will have myself and the wife and 2 little ones that eat like horses. Marty, I will give you some cash for the food when I stop by on Friday.

I may also have a nieghbor come too with a Toy P/U, but will not know until Sat night, also do not think he will want to stay for the meeting, just wants to wheel.

As for the Meeting, we are hoping to be back off the trails by 2/230 timeframe to get the meeting going.

It looks like I will be having a buddy join us as well. However, he will be joining us at the trail head since he will be trailering his Jeep up there. Are we still planning on making the trail head at about 10am? He normally doesn't go for large groups but he's making an exception for us.

Where and when are we meeting for the run?
Sounds like too many to meet at Marty's house.

How about 0900 at the Chilli's/Applebee's (I do not remember which it is) parking lot off of Circle Drive (Broadmore hotel exit off of I-25), Turn right onto circle from the I-25.

It is on the left side of the street so you will have to merge and get over fairly quickly off of the freeway exit, Sun Morning shouldn't be too bad. Or we could meet at the 7/11 on the right side of the street if that is easier.

Pete, it is a 7/11 we met at when we went correct. Also it is circle drive right?

So what do you all think?

Why is it too many to meet at my house? Their all going to meet after run, so why not before? Do I have to make biscuits and gravy again to get you all to just meet here first?:D

There is a 7/11 on Circle on the right side of the road right next to Carl's Jr., Denny's and Village Inn. There is also a Chilli's on the left side of the road next to a bagel and sandwich shop. I think one of these would be a better idea than meeting at Marty's since this will encourage us to get on the road faster and we wouldn't have to fight to keep everyone together for the drive all the way across the Springs. I realize we'll be making this drive after the run but then we'll only have to do it one way. Of course, I'm biased since I live only 5 minutes from Circle and it takes approx 30 minutes to get to Marty's just to turn around to drive right back to where I started.

I'll be heading out today, in just a couple hours. I'll be camping up off Eagle Rock, with a buddy of mine. I anticipate meeting up with you guys around 1030ish. See you all up there.

And another quick one, cb channel 40? I'll try to listen for you guys before you get there. If not, talk to you on the trail.

I'm thinking we should be at the trail head by 10.

Went grocery shopping yesterday, and picked up most everything, except the meet. I did pick up a large pack of Johnsonville Brats, but if we don't use them for the meeting, I will use them later. RespectML, give me a call and let me know if you picked some meat yet. If you did, that's fine, we'll compensate, but just wanted to let you know, Top Sirloin Steak at Wally World is $4.88/lb, and a 5.5lb of burger is about $12, and the Johnsonville Brats, I don't remember the price, but I know I paid less than $8 and got 10 or 12 in the package, so the prices from where you work are a little on the high side. If you already have the 8 Brats and 8 burger patties, like I said, we'll get you covered and it is appreciated. If anyone wants Sirloin Steaks, let me know and I will pick some up. I have all the buns, condiments, fresh foliage (tomato, lettuce, onion), cheese, making up some homemade baked beans, potato salad, plates, cups, and have extra burger and brats if needed. I have a case of Pepsi, but no other refreshments at this time. Let me know what other soda I should pick up. I'm thinking most of us guys will have adult beverages, so soda's and tea for those that don't? Anything I am missing?

And I agree with just meeting over at that 7/11. Those of you coming from the north and from my side of town, if you want to meet at my place and caravan out of here at 9, then that is fine too. Don't forget your chairs so everyone has a place to sit besides the floor for the meeting.:D

Meeting should be around the 2:30-3:00 time frame.

So I guess meet at the 7/11 on Circle Drive in CO Springs (Broadmore Hotel exit) at 0900 Tomorrow A.M. I will have my CB on Channel 40 as Chad suggested, and will listen for chatter if running late.

Alright, I'll plan on seeing you guys at the meeting. Could someone give me a call when you get back in cell phone range? It will take me about a half hour from the time I get the call until I show up at Marty's.

Thanks in advance.

No problem. When we first hit the pavement coming down from Old Stage is when my service usually comes back, and it takes about 20-30 minutes from there to my place.

Ted's over here, and he realized that we were going to meet at the 7/11 about 9:30, not 9:00.
