Hoping I can add some beef to these MOPAR skids too haha. Go buy some 1/4 steel plate and weld on more armor haha.

You know, I was actually thinking about welding on a thicker plate to the Gas tank skid at least, that thing doesn't seem like much over the no skid cradle.

I copied JeepMonkey's custom skid and just traced and welded some 1/4" sheet to mine haha. Very glad I did, it's basically bullet proof (from straight under atleast...)

That's a great looking KK! The ATH bumper is just awesome. I like what you've done with your electrical mods. The USB in the center console and the switches on the A pillar are both cool. I think you may be the first KK owner to position them there (especially the switches), but it looks like it works esthetically. The only thing I am wondering about are the 1 inch wheel spacers. How differently does it drive now that you have those installed? I'd be a little worried about extra wear an tear on wheel bearings and ball joints, but if you keep a watchful eye on everything you should be fine.

I don't want to start a debate, but they're fine to drive with. For me, they make it a little harder to turn around because it changes your scrub turning radius (think that's the term). Takes time to get used to, but it makes the Jeep look aggressive from every angle.

Went to the dealer the other day for a check engine, nothing major, because i still have an extended warranty. Got to talking to a guy there about the abs and what not, adn told him about the abs switch post i seen on here im wanting to do. He said there is wiring running through the center console, he thought, that was part of the abs that you could just run a switch on that and do the same thing. Didn't give me a lot of detail but said may be something i want to look in to. Anyone heard of this or is he just blowing me some bs.

I don't have any wiring diagrams to help with this, but there is a sensor module in the rear of the console. pop off the rear plastic cover and its there bolted to the floor. I would have to assume that if the module was switchable, that would cause a CEL till it is reconnected.

I could be wrong but I think that sensor under the center console is an inertia sensor for the airbags... Wouldn't mess with it :!:

yea, wasn't 100% sure on the type of sensor it was. man, our KKs have to many grandma features!

when I get home and if any one else doesn't chime in, ill check out the S/N. if it is indeed an inertia sensor, Ill leave it be. don't want any airbags going off in my face.

I'm not debating :p I think your right! They're just temporary thankfully- and I like the look. The turn radius is def smaller! I have to make wide turns but I don't rub thankfully :)

other drivers give the "you really needed to do that" look when making turns. not sure about any other KKs here but I drive mine like I have a trailer on back. I don't have spacers yet, but seems like my turning radius will be affected some.

and I used to hual trailers Monday through Saturday, so im used to it. had a 550 with all sorts of issues and was usually almost over the legal weight limit of my license. luckily never was pulled over for not having my CDL. whish I got mine.

Replaced the battery with an Interstate MT7-65. MT7-65 is not the right size battery that can fit in the KKs though...

As you can see it's just too big everwhere hahaha. MT7-34 is the proper part number for our KKs and will arrive tomorrow. In the mean time, I can independently turn the Jeep on!

The unit under the center console(just in front of the E-brake handle) is the main airbag controller. DON'T MESS WITH THE WIRES GOING TO IT! If you do the side airbags will deploy and then the dealer will make big $ off you to repair all the damages. Last I heard it is close to 3 grand when it happened to a KA owner.
Farther to the rear is the dynamics sensor. I would not mess with that either.

Dang guys! It was sunny and 70 here today. What happened to winter here in the PNW? I didn't get to play in the snow at all this year!
