Is that one of those emergency jump start boxes?

I recommend using a good battery charger on that battery before trying to start.

What kind of battery is in it? And how old is it?
anything less than 800cca is going to have a tough time starting that motor.

I had it hooked up to my truck, with an optima while the truck was running. Left it hooked up for a good 30 mins. Still the same outcome. I do not have a batter charger sadly. My truck and it have the same Batt, 720cca 900ca.

How do you know the Optima in the CRD is still good?

When the Optima in mine died, NOTHING would jump start it.
