Trim packer raises the amount of force it takes to compress the spring, does not raise it that much to give lift really
But you install it first if using it, then everything else
I think we need pictures of exactly what you are using now. I have never seen anyone in the last 12 years of being on here have this much trouble with a lift

You got it.

Will get that on here tomorrow morning.

I am starting to lean towards believing I have faulty parts. Either rustys strut is dimensionally incorrect for this application or something has killed BOTH of my springs.

Before I had:
1/4 top plate
Oem style mount (new)
New isolator
Ironman 1.5 inch spring load range c
New isolator
3 conduit nuts from Home Depot
Standard clevis

(Rustys strut) = equals 21 inches

Now (temporary):
Daystar 2.5 top plate (not an OOT, but just lowers the mounting point of strut)
Isolater
Ironman 1.5 inch spring
Isolator
3 conduit nuts
Standard clevis

(Same rustys strut) = 20.5 inches

I'm not lying and I ain't daft.. There is something up here. I will get to the bottom of this, but I'm not spending $$$ on more parts until I figure out what's up.

Do you think I could grab an oem strut from the wreckers and plop my spring into it to rule out the rustys strut being the problem? Would an oem strut support a lift?

Shocks do not give lift
Only way that a shock could effect lift would be if it was too short and you would know that right away
Only springs and things like the clevis and top plate set up what the final amount would be

That's was I was thinking. The strut is too short.

Or the springs were no good.

Wanna take a trip to canada and sort me out? It would probably be faster.

Can you do me a fav.. And list *exactly* what you put in 501's kj. I have a SOLID 23 in the rear. Wj rear lowers and IRO upper a arm and jba 4inch springs. See the pic above for current measurement on the front.

I have the same thing as 501, except for a special item that gets me 4"+ and 501 has that trim packer

Starting at the top 501 has

1/4" top plate
Stock upper mount
Stock rubber iso
Ironman spring
Stock rubber bottom iso
Trim packer
(shock ledge)
3/8" clevis space
Stock clevis

That should get you 22.5"-22.75"

I'm still waiting to find out about this "secret item" that grants the +4" of lift? ...OK, and did Whitby ever get the suspect coils sorted out?

Yah..

I figured it out lol.

Turns out the "optional" preload spacers:. Aren't optional.

I tried with and without the daystar plate.. I ended up adding a home made 1/2 inch spacer I under my coil (inside the strut). Thus made the springs worker harder at rest and lifting my jeep. I still got a MR tho.

Whats listed for 501s is not all, I never told anyone what all was added some make some things up as they go along
Remember I had this lift on mine first to test it out, then it went to 501s

Anything that works on the KJs front works on the KK

Extra stress on the springs as well, you're preloading the springs with an internal spacer -vs- an external like the clevis lift or top plate

Yep. I also used a top plate.

No Clevis spacer yet.

Wonder what will happen if I knock the spacer down to 1/4" and use 3/8ths Clevis? Or half inch? Seems like a waste of time.

Time and money would be better spent doing coil overs
