Well, let's all put our brains together!!

I know I'm not the smartest man alive. Pretty far from it actually. But if I can come with stuff like this on my phone, than together as a group we can probably make the KJ into something redicuoulously unstoppable.

Yes, I am trying to spark a whirlwind action and start a group brainstorm.

Hitting that third bolt is hard, because the geometry of the joint gets in the way with the fold process. But, it is possible. The answer is out there.

I was out wheeling the bracket yesterday, torquing on it in 4lo. I dragged the axle, I flexed it out and made a movie, the jeep was teetering while I was pushing it. It held. It can and will be stronger.

I was thinking of something like this. Sorry for the crude drawing. The green is the bracket already made, the blue is new part, it will be tied into the green bracket. And have a support of some kind going down the front. Image

Don't make fun of his drawings lol, at least he got the colours right.

4x4kayak you are right on the money dude! I literally just finished drawing up the new dxf files and sending them to Kyle when I checked the forum. You hit right on the nose.

"All I see is an alien eatig a spiral cut honey ham" roflmao !!!!

It's even funnier cuz I was cooking a ham slice in the nuker when I started laughing at the alien comment and it started blowin up in the microwave... I couldn't move to stop the microwave cause I was laughing so hard... Now there is a HUGE mess in the microwave.

Nifty.

I like the idea of keeping it simple.

Keep those pics coming people.

I have considered this.

But liability is holdin me back. I have made what appears to be mechanical engineer friend, bu he says that we need a structural engineer? I think that's right? I could be wrong. I wouldn't mind hearin back from IRO.. They haven't gotten back to me. Otherwise, an option would be to sell a prototype to an offroad company and split the funds between my friend and I and LOST.

We shall call it the LOST Upper BJ Eliminator.

I'm thinking a 40/40/20 split sounds cool.

But... This could just be a pipe dream.

Monday, revision 2 (thank you Kyle) will be cut and folded.

Should have rev 2 installation pics by Wednesday night.

I would say leave the LOST name out of it , after that and if it does work you can call it anything you want
LOSTJEEPs as a forum has nothing to do with it and if called that and there are issues could face liability issues

Okay you got it baby.

So far there is only one in existence and it's on my jeep.

And I'm the creator.

I may have goofed. I got O/T on Wed night. I will still try to complete the project, it will be this week tho. I don't like doing critical welding while I'm tired.

Jeeptorino68 and I are finalizing revision 3. Revision 3 includes a mechanical interlock with joins the two halves and then itself gets welded. Plus the usual welding. If all goes as planned, Wednesday can still be the picture day. Hopefully.
