You guys are right on the money with there being a liability issue.

I don't mind selling them. However there SO MUCH going on behind the scenes right now. Jeeptorino has been working just as hard as I to make this a reality.

Here is what I know for sure:
Lost members will get discounts
Profit margin will be kept insanely low
It cost me 91 dollars today to cut one bracket. (40 was setup. So I could pay for setup onces and cut a bracket for 51 dollars there after. But this is 1/4" cnc waterjet for a perfect fit.

What I don't know:
Why Iron Rock Offroad hasn't gotten back to me
If I should sell the kit to an established manufacturer.

These are all decisions that may seem small. My email keeps ringing for requests to the dxf file. This is all very stressful. I trying to hang in there.

My number one concern is safety and not upsetting the body politic (lost members). Money really is of no concern to me.

Before you sell them I would do some extensive testing, just a suggestion
Something that has been on mine for quite a while ( over 4500 miles) showed a issue recently, while small its being changed to make it stronger and better
Start selling 8-10, 20, well no not 20, lots say they want something but of course they want it for free
Give away patterns and if someone does a bubble gum welding job and they come back at you, well make sure you have it in writing that its at their feet not yours.
Just been down this road before with a friend or should say watched a friend go through it about 15 years ago

The first three lines of every email state that this product hasn't been tested and it's a use at your own risk type thing. That I won't be liable for damages.

I agree with a small test batch. Perhaps those individuals would be willing to send me faced disclaimers or something.

More and more and more I am leaning towards selling the idea to an offroad company.

Update on revision 3:

I missed the lower bolt hole by half an inch.

50 more dollars tomorrow to recut the lower bracket. This is getting expensive.

Hard to sell any company on a KJ/KK product
Most don't even want to build a decent lift since for the same money they can design / build a Wrangler kit that will sell 1000s instead of 100s maybe

BUT keep up testing/ trying etc

I know that rustys has the same arm (more or less) that IRO does.

IRO still hasn gotten back to me.

We need, as a group I think to start making some noise.

Rustys has a kj line..

It's like this... If you already have the darn arm (for the wj) and it's on your shelf not being sold.. And I've proven it bolts onto te kj.. You'd be stupid to not use the bracket to sell as many arms as you possibly can.

I want everyone to enjoy this product I really do.

But I am a thirty year old father of three and I personally don't have time to make umpteen thousand brackets.

Any product I make I want everyone to enjoy. It would be cool to get a little something for my efforts, but it's not necessary.

Look at the wj guys... With my bracket they could bolt on a c8.25 and ditch their shirty stock axles. They would need wheel adapters.. But still. Somebody somewhere in an important position needs to pick up on this.

Rustys is another company that doesn't care about the KJ line, they never did
For example their top plates have never fit right, they've been told many times but they have never changed the design of them to fit right

I would say you could keep up, I think the upteen thousand brackets is a little more than what would be sold.
You may have an initial run of maybe 20 or so then would taper off to a few a month maybe
I mean how many really does a full spring lift compared to the total number lifted out there
They'll buy a spacer lift just to save 2-300 bucks

So, I have a full OME spring lift. Do I want one of these? What are the advantages of this new setup? Mostly a stronger joint where the balljoint was, and better bushings I'm guessing? How will this affect on road manners, and towing?

Thanks for any explanation, looks like a nice improvement over the sheet metal boomerang!

It is stronger.

It flexes more.

It takes the slop out of your rear driveline, like it will control the pinion a lot better.

The joints are rebuilable in minutes.

Easily adjustable.

In the pic I have 4 inches of lift and have barely touched the amount of adjustability in the joint.

And the price... Will probably knock your socks off. I paid 200 dollars for the arm and the joint. I got 75 dollars off the price because I didn't need the wj bracket.

Stock bushings for a wj grand Cherokee I believe, but kj ones should push right in.

It's a no brainer, my boomerang has rust holes in it. This arm is powder coated black and will never need to see a press, and doesn't have to come off the vehicle for service... If it ever needs it. Given that it is greaseable.

I love it, it's there and it is strong as balls.

Just heard back from IRO.

Also heard from JBA.

Got me a feeling that somebody is gonna get you guys hooked up.

I don't know what to say. JBA emailed me and then I called Joe@IRO.

Joe wants to see some pics of an install and it wheeling. JBA said he is working on something similar.

I'm so excited!!!

Jeeptorino, you reading this?

Back to sleep. I'm on nights. darn jeep bug is keeping me awake.

??? Not seeing how it will take the slop out when with new tri-link etc there is no sloop
Although an alternative for sure , good luck

Will the bj not allow the pinion to dip/rise when transferring load as your shift from forward to reverse, etc. Even if it's minimal... With the a arm, by design its none. No pinion dive/rise.

Sorry, I'm not the world ls best communicator. I am talking about flange angle. Like pinion angle.

If the ball joint is good then the OEM tri-link will hold that pinion angle just like what you have and at the same time reduce noise and road shock transfer to the body which your set up will not do.
