Who makes it? Is it custom? How much lift? Are you happy with it?

I have the 2" lift from 4Wheel Drive Hardware, actuall lift closer to 2.5".

My wife's and I opinion is that the ride is much better than stock. The taller KJ looks much more aggressive. The conservative lift height
doesn't put anything at an extreme angle. Real off-road test is tomorrow at Paragon.

Frankenlift! It's hard to tell how much lift I got with it since it is my third lift and I don't remember my original measurements. I'm guessing 3" or so. Great ride, great flex, best lift yet.

Rustys top mount spacer lift (kind of like RRO - OTT but not as tall). Lifted it 2.0" front & rear. No problems so far at over a year. Some people say these top mount spacers damage the struts, springs & ball joints but I have had no problems at all with mine. Then again I don't disco my swaybar or do hardcore wheelin with it. I have an XJ for that.

rusty's coil spring replacement advertised as 2 1/2 inch...installed myself about a year ago...at that time it seemed the be one of the better choices mentioned on this forum....immediately replaced tires for 245/75/16 bfg ta ko's.....no problems in approx. 16000 miles use....followed the red KJ around moab for several days....worked fine....might have considered the frankenlift just because I value the opinions of those west guys but it wasn't available at the time I purchased....

Rusty Coil Lift - aprx 2.5" lift. Rides alot better than stock, just get clunk sounds from the rear under low mph. Been advised it's loose shocks mounts. Apparently common due to Rusty not using exactly designed shocks for the KJ.

Best bang for the buck, but franken lift seems better quality.

I am happy though!

2" RevTek no problems at 45,000 miles and I'm very happy with the quality and performance.

Rusty's Coil Lift
With the 31" MTRs, it added just about 4 inches. I am sure it has sagged some since April when it was put on, but I haven't measured again.

Rockfather I, It's been on for about 2.000 miles now I love it. i got about a 3 inch lift on the front and 2.5 on the rear. No ball joint contact. The Liberty sits level now. And the Liberty rides a lot better than stock.

Rusty's 2.5" Coil Lift, but I forgot to get heavier coils and it sags under the weight of my Arb bumper. Had a Daystar 2.5" spacer kit before. The coil lift definately gives me more in the rear than the stock springs with spacers. The front was about an inch higher when I installed it (I figure the stock springs had sagged) but after half a year the new one is sitting just as low. I'm thinking about adding some over the top spacers in the front in combination with the Rusty's coils or possibly just a clevis lift but don't know yet.

For those of you who have moved up an inch or two (or three) in tire height, how are you dealing with the gearing issues? Have you noticed much change, particularly off-road? I know going from a 29" tire with 3.73's to 33's requires a 4.27 gear to get you the same gear ratios. Just curious...

I dont think anyone is running 33s...Almost everyone is running a 245 75 and it is not that big of an issue. A few guys have run the 265 75 and still doing OK just a lot of cutting to stop rubbing. Hope that helps. later...Clint

Yeah, the 245's aren't much over an inch taller, are they? I used those other numbers as an example as they are all that I have experience with : Replacing 29" H78-15's ( yeah, the tires were that old) with 33x12.5's. I switched from 3.73 to 4.27 gears to cancel out the tire height increase almost perfectly.

My first mod is going to be the truetrac rear end, and then a lift/tires. Probably leaning towrds the Rusty's coil lift, as it is the most complete for the money without going to the Frankenlift. I might go 235/85/16 on the tires as I have an unhealthy attraction to the trxus m/t and that is the closest size that they have that will work...

rusty's coil lift got me about 2.5" after settling in front, and 2.75" in the rear. i did a .5" clevis in front and finally got about 3.15" of lift. im running 245/75/16 bfg mt's that rub like hell.

the lift and tires get a LOT of work.
