spent the weekend replacing both my Transmission output shaft seal, and transfer case input shaft seal. It was a lot of work to do, but I saved a bunch of money in labor doing it myself. The dealership wanted $500 to put $30 worth of parts in... I am sore this morning from crawling on the ground all weekend... lol.

By the way, I remember seeing a dispute somewhere on how much ATF+4 to add back into the T-Case. Mine was filled to the bottom of the fill plug, but the capacity is only 2qts per the manual. Not sure if that had anything to do with the seal failures or not but I only put two quarts back in.

If 2 quarts did not fill it to the bottom of the fill plug hole, then you need to add more.
The manual says "Approximate dry fill or fill to bottom edge of the fill plug hole.".

Does anyone know if there is anything safety related in our seats that would stop us from swapping them out?

I think there is something in the headrest but that's because there was a recall for it

There are seat weight sensors under the seats the ORC uses, there is also an OCM on the inboard passenger side front seat riser beneath the seat cushion, these are used in part to calculate the airbag discharge (the airbag can be deployed at multiple levels of force), and the active headrests. The seat belts also have a charge to lock them in an impact.
Service Manual wrote:
The OCM and all of the other components of the Occupant Classification System (OCS) including the passenger side front seat, the seat weight sensors, and the seat adjusters, cushion, back, frame, foam, springs, and wiring harness are a factory-calibrated and assembled unit. Any time any one of these components is removed or replaced for any reason, the OCM must be re-calibrated...

Yea. Drake.

I actually prefer this look over drilling them out. Just one would make a great drill template though :)

I like it. It would probably look really good painted to match the body color too.

Painting in behind body color before installing would look good
Well unless you have the "right" color on your Jeep ( which of course is black)
Still drilled looks better IMO

I agree. All my trim is blacked out though, so I went that way.

These are for the JK right?

And someone should post what the drilled out handles look like.

Added 2oz of Dyna Beads to my tires...so many mistakes with this...

I didn't think to order (5) 2oz bags, instead I ordered (1) 10oz bag...so I have to make 5 piles of itty bitty ceramic beads as even as I can get them. Broke the outside bead down for all 5 tires and made a paper funnel for beads to easily and accurately roll into the tires. The LAST tire fell...outside down...so when I lifted it about 6-8oz of the beads were all across the garage floor. Thankfully the floor was (mostly) clean so there's not that much dirt inside that tire...also...taking the 80lb spare tire off/on the roof is retarded...who came up this idea...seriously hahaha.

Never heard of them before. I'm in class now, so I'm too lazy to look it up, but what do the beads do?

Bumper tire carrier. What was wrong with the stock location?

PA,

Dyna Beads are tire balancing beads. As the tire rotates, centrifugal force takes over and places the beads where the weight is needed. But lately I've been feeling some bum-bum-bum-bums so as little bit here should fix her.

I want to...but I think I'll do a modified knucklebone system.

PA, 32s are a tight fit underneath. Most need to be aired down, some just don't fit.

NAM, I heard Airsoft BBs (plastic BBs) work as balancing beads too. Not sure of the details for it. I don't even know the price anymore, it's been so long since I've picked up any of my airsoft/paintball stuff.

couple a quick pictures from my cell phone. second addition to it was the decal on the back window, wife got it for me, haha. Tires are the first "real" mod I'm going to do, these tires for only having 24k miles on them are pretty shot.

Those don't work as well...because they're much larger than Dyna Beads they do not fill the little gas in balancing as well and you feel it in higher speeds. If you're running really knobby 37s+ and have steering stabilizers you might be okay with it, but the small diameter of the 32s are not quite large enough.
