I still assume the Denver caravan is meeting at Borders, Park Meadows at 7:30?

I will listen on CB Channel 40 when I get there.

Okay, I'll be at the 7/11 sometime around 9:15 and I will have Channel 40 tuned up on the CB. BTW, is anyone going to be using an FRS radio? I'll bring mine just in case.

I got 12 patties for the price of 4 ($9) and 8 brats for $7, so no compensation is needed. I also got 3 spicy chicken breast for myself and anyone else that opts out of the first two. I will pick up a case of Coca-Cola in the morning. No compensation is needed, since I picked all the meat up a lot cheaper than I expected.

I tried to Mapquest "7/11" on Circle Drive, in Colorado Springs, CO...but I didn't get anything relevant. Marty, I think it'd be a good idea for me to meet up at your place first so I can drop off the meat. Could I get directions to your place, or an address so I can MapQuest it (I will want to check MapQuest directions with you if I use them)?

@Phil/Dave I will have my CB on Channel 40 and will see you at the Borders at the County Line Road/Park Meadows Exit at 7:30.

@ Pete I will also have a set of FRS/GMRS radios. I think we set those on 12/12 last time I went with you guys and will have mine on that channel...I will loan the second of the set to whomever doesn't have a radio if needed.

Is the Broadmore/Circle Drive Exit in the springs marked as such? Does anyone know what exit number it is by chance? I am not too familiar with the springs myself.

See you all there!

John - Phil, we can all drive to Marty's (be there about 8:20am) or go take the Lake Ave exit and meet at the start of the dirt road (where the hilly road begins). I think it would be easier to go to Marty's.

That's fine with me (Meeting At Marty's)...As long as someone in our little caravan knows how to get to a meeting place I'm good with it.

I found Marty's address in old thread and MapQuested it. Here's what I got from south-bound I-25:
5: Merge onto I-25 S. 30.3 miles

6: Merge onto BRIARGATE PKWY via EXIT 151. 3.9 miles

7: Take the POWERS BLVD ramp. 0.3 miles

8: Merge onto N POWERS BLVD. 2.1 miles

9: Turn LEFT onto E WOODMEN RD. 2.2 miles

10: Turn RIGHT onto N MARKSHEFFEL RD. 5.1 miles

11: Turn LEFT onto CONSTITUTION AVE. 1.0 miles

12: Turn RIGHT onto MEADOWBROOK PKWY. 0.1 miles

13: Turn RIGHT onto CHRISTY CT. <0.1 miles

14: Turn LEFT onto PINYON JAY DR. <0.1 miles

15: End at 2452 Pinyon Jay Dr
Colorado Springs, CO 80915-4717, US

Can I get a confirmation on these directions? I hope Marty will be answering his phone in the morning!

Hey, look at me, still up working on getting my junk put back together.:D

Wow, that was an old thread, because we were supposed to move into that house when we first came out in November, then it was sold out from under us.

Anyways, mapquest this address instead:

3250 Honeyburyl Dr
Colorado Springs 80918

Basically, easiest way is 25 south to Woodmen, go east past Academy to next main intersection which is Union. Turn right/south on Union down to the bottom of the hill and back up the hill and turn left/east at first stoplight which is Dublin. Follow Dublin through next stop light (Flintridge) and first left at very bottom of hill is Montarbor. Go left/north on Montarbor and follow it all the way to the bottom of the hill and follow around and second or third right will be Honeyburyl. Just look for the 30MPH sign and that street will be Honeyburyl. I think I am the 5th or 6th house on the left. Just look for all the jeeps.

Hey guys & gals, thanks for the great trip today. Sorry I didn't make it over the top, but still think I did pretty well for a stock liberty!!

I did get to see first hand what lifting and rock rails can do. I guess now I will have to do some accessory planning.

Also sorry I didn't make the meeting, but I did fine getting back down and back to town.

I actually could hear you for quite a while on the CB and thought about waiting around, but you know how it is with a new Liberty, I had to get back to show off the dirt!!

Anyway thanks again and I will be watching the threads for the next trip. :D

Now I have got to order some L.O.S.T. Rockies stickers. :D

Later,

Phil

You missed the lesson I learned a few minutes after you left: you need rock-rails on the rocks! Body damage= :(

What a tough trail this was! It wasn all torn up and powder soft dirt everywhere in the hard spots. Nothing like when we drove it earlier this year. Had a great time nonetheless.

Phil, it is a good thing you didn't try going further in your stock KJ. As you can see from Jarrod's (did I spell it right?) post, he suffered lower panel damage and he is lifted and has larger tires. Wish we could have worked out a time so you could've been at the meeting too. The food was awesome. Thanks Marty, his family, Grillmaster Ted, and Jarrod for the food, prep, and place to eat and have the meeting.

LOST Rockies-Colorado is on its way!
