I don't want to jinx it, but I think I FINALLY got my transmission to stop leaking. I guess third time is a charm. I've driven 60 miles without seeing a drop. Last two times I replaced it, i noticed fluid after only 5 or 10 miles.

This morning I spoke to the shop where I dropped off the OME components to be assembled. Apparently they weren't able to put it all together with their spring compressor, so I made an appointment with a spring and chassis shop that can hopefully put it all together. The local Jeep dealer wouldn't even let me finish my sentence when I asked if it was something they could do.

Dropped the springs and struts off this morning at another shop with the hope they can assemble them. They work on heavy equipment so I assume they can handle it. The guy was surprised how heavy duty the springs were

So had a small puddle 2 weeks ago on driveway. Went to dealer as we had a road trip coming.
They say it's the water pump seal. $400 and upper and lower radiator hoses need replaced $150 and coolant flush and fill $120
I laughed at it.

I did however let them do the trans fluid, and diff fluids with an oil change.

Don't know what they did but the leak is gone and I haven't replaced water pump yet.

Also a couple questions. Wife says I can only lift the lib if I get side steps. Urg. Are there any side steps that are reasonable and effective? She is 5' tall..
I'm getting new tires before fall and looking to possible do all at the same time.

AtTheHelm has some new rock sliders for the KK that would double as "side steps".

Haven't uploaded any pics lately, but I've permanently installed my Rola roof basket which I sprayed with Rustoleum Bed Liner along with the 30" light bar in front of it. I decided to spray my ATH side rails & crossbars with the same Bed Liner.

I then put my full size spare up top, but later decided that I don't really like it high up so I will be putting it underneath eventually. Also after talking with Stang977 over on Jeepforum, I installed the Drake JK door inserts painted with the same Rusoleum bed liner as above.

In 8.5 hours I will (hopefully) be starting to install my lift. I'm just waiting for the suspension shop to call and say the struts are done.

Installed the lift yesterday afternoon and finished it up this morning. The rear only took an hour but the front was a bit longer. Ran into an issue with the upper ball joint nuts so we had to wait until today to get a couple. The nuts we got may not be the correct grade so I'm looking for some other ones. But these work for now. Alignment on Monday.

Having a lift helps so much!

Full OME lift, nothing else. So far I like the appearance of it and I'm really looking forward to getting it aligned so I can see how it rides. But I won't be driving it at all until Monday.

I just noticed that on another OME setup, they have isolators on the lower part of the strut. The shop didn't put one in the lower area of mine. Is that going to pose an issue?

Yes you have to have isolators top and bottom both front and rear
Why are some of theses shops so stupid ??
