So, I am getting back into dealing with the CRD(s) and am set on getting a good scan tool that will allow calibration of the speedo, purging of the ABS brakes, etc. Snap-On seems to have a couple of possible options, one being the MT-2500 and the other being the Solus. Does anybody know the functional difference between these two, and does anybody know the cartridge and adaptor numbers required for the 05 and 06 CRD?

I have a hand-me-down Mt-2500 from a friend. It is obsolete and mine the cartridges needed to match scanner to cars only goes to model year 2000. The Solus is the update or latest scanner from snap on. the programming of the scanner is updateable and stored on memory cards inside. IIRC they use compact flash cards. My friend scanned my jeep once with his solus when we inspected it before buying. The doemestic Chrysler software didn't talk to the CRD. He used his European import software to communicate with it.
