Ok, a few weeks ago I purchased a set of WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors. This weekend I was rolling up the passenger window and the front portion dropped low and stopped it from closing. I had to assist the window to close by lifting the front half while closing the window. The vehicle is under warranty (build 4/29/06).

What I want to know is... will the weather tech's void my warranty if I do not remove them before taking it to the dealer to fix? Any knowledge or experience would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think those wind deflectors touch the glass, so you should be fine. Sounds like the window regulator is busted or the glass fell off the track, I've had older cars do that and you have to push the window up to make it close, a royal pain.

Strange,
I installed them on my wife's 04 KJ and she does not have any problem.
Like Se7enLC said: (Sounds like the window regulator is busted or the glass fell off the track)

This type does touch the glass. It is the kind that gets pressed into the channel not the stick on type.

Some dealers are lame, so they could say that they were the cause.

No lawyer but seems that this is the type of situation that consumer protection laws are written for. Dealership should do the repair under warranty. If the inserts caused the problem then DC can go after the manufacturer to get the $ for the repair. If the inserts are installed incorrectly and this caused the damage then the installer would be on the hook for the costs.
