I think you need the following tool:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-in-1-BALL-JOI ... 1766432445

Disclaimer: I have bought the tool and MOOG ball joints from CarID.com but have not yet completed the job yet! Too many things in pipeline.

If you have an Autozone near you, they will rent/loan the tools you need for free. I tried Advance first, but they did not have the right size spacers in their kit. At Autozone, I rented two kits, but I didn't care since they give a full refund upon return. I brought the knuckle into the store, because the first kit did not have the spacers the I needed. Oddly enough, I think the kit that I ended up using was in their listing for a 2WD Liberty. Mine is 4WD, and I can't imagine Jeep going through the trouble to have different ball joints in a 2WD model. Anyway, the tool kit listed for the 2WD had the right spacers, so I got that along with the BJ press, and it was a breeze.

You will also need a socket for the axle nut. Many say it is a 35mm, but my 35mm does not fit. I use a 36mm. Another tool that you can rent from Autozone for free. You'll need a 21mm socket for the ball joint nuts if I remember right. An impact wrench will make your life easier. Probably a six pack, more if you have helpers.
