So I've been calling shops all day getting quotes on the length of time and cost for them to install my JBA A arms. Everyone is more than 5 hours so you can imagine the price and even the shop that installed my lift (for a reasonable price) wants $430 to install.. I paid $200 more than that to have my whole lift put in.

Wish I lived close to some of you guys to get some help. I just may have to book a couple extra days off and figure this out myself. :juggle:

I'd say 1-2 hours tops. It's easy, just one bolt is a pain. The passenger side is in and out. Be prepared for another alignment after install.

That's what I was hoping some of these shops would say, cause I've read on here that it shouldn't take more than 2 hours. I also didn't want to go to a shop that can't execute a good alignment.

So I've been seeing a few lifted XKs (Commanders) around my town lately. I really like the look of them.

Funny you said that. Saw a decent looking white one today.
Not positive if it was lifted, definitely bigger tires and aftermarket rims though.

Not sure if it's just me, but in my town, all I see driving our KKs are women.... Is that saying something about the liberty to women? I don't care, our KKs are great!

Here's something random.
Yesterday I found out there is a little flap right below the steering wheel that is removable to give you access in there for whatever reason.

Lol I was surprised it took me this long to find it... by accident.
There's at least one wire harness in there.
Might be a good spot to hide switches for lights.

The cord for my Scangauge goes thru there, runs behind the knee panel to the OBDII port. My Scangauge is Velcro-ed to the top of the steering column in front of the dash.

Now ya got me thinking! My ScanGauge isn't routed the cleanest way. Doesn't bother me, but wouldn't mind if I could make it more efficient and clean looking.

I would love to somehow affix the Scangauge to the back of the sunglasses tray, and route the cord behind the plastic to make it completely invisible. I haven't had the motivation or a good reason to tear apart my dash yet, someday I'll look into it.

I love having the Scangauge. I have been able to get 20+ mpg on my latest two commutes. They are mostly highway, and as long as the traffic keeps moving, I have found the sweet spot to get a consistent 23.5 mpg at about 58 mph. Traffic in the "slow lane" on the Turnpike is usually doing about that. I found I can go faster and keep 20+ mpg by following semis and coasting down hills. I haven't been able to get 20+ since before upgrading to 245/75/R16 Duratracs, but now with the roof basket off, I am saving 10-20% at the pump.

Today I hit a landmark 17.6 mpg average on the Roosevelt Boulevard in Philly... 10 miles of 6 lanes each way and traffic lights every 1/10 mile, with a 40-45 mph speed limit. Part of it was luck (more green lights than usual), but a lot was keeping an eye on stopped traffic ahead and planning to arrive there just after the light turned green, thus, never coming to a stop. Every time I had to start from a complete stop, I'd sacrifice 0.3 mpg from my average, which was about 18.5 when I started down that road.

Hypermiling is fun, too.

Yes, Lauren, hypermiling is FUN! You must have patience, though.
Mine isn't calibrated yet, since I'm on the first tank, but I was getting some high numbers going 63mph the other day.

This may be the craziest thing I have thought of to date...

Open up the expensive Chinese plastic remove the display. Lengthin the ribbon cable and find an available spot on the winshield or dash.

Winshield would act more like a hud like a prius...

I haven't been very active lately. I've been working and got little to nothing done on the KK, went to Wall, NJ for the Formula Drift races last weekend. Got tired of the rain and went home early. The traffic made a 2-2.5hour ride turn into 5 :banghead: :banghead: . That night we had to put my golden retriever down. We knew it was coming, but it just sucked because he was my buddy for 12.5 years.

In better news, we got an 8 week old golden retriever yesterday. He's adorable and a fluff ball.

Bmxr , so sorry for your loss. A golden is hard to lose. They are the BEST!!! My wife and I have had Golden's for 25 years. When I lost Rusty at 14 in Dec. 2013, it was while my wife was in Cali spending time with her Mom with cancer who we lost 2 months later. I applaud you for jumping back in so quickly! We couldn't bring ourselves to get another pup for 6 mos! We now have Charlie who is a year old now! Enjoy your puppy!!!!

I love goldens. They're one of the best family dogs. Sorry to hear about your losses. 14 is really old for a golden. Every time we lose one we seem to have another that month. Our home just seems empty without one.

This puppy is an english cream golden retriever. Supposedly they live a little longer. It's supposed to be just a tad shorter than a regular golden, but much stockier. We named him Hunter, and so far he's really well behaved. Not much crying, only a few accidents, and follows me and my family everywhere lol

Been investigating a sound coming from the front driver side wheel.
Sounds like a chirp or a cricket. It's definitely got a rotational beat.
Happens at low speeds and the loudest is at 20mph. Can't hear it above 30ish.
Gonna see if my dash cam can pick up the sound tonight.
