Hey guys new to the other jeep world (only had wranglers and cjs) looking for expert advice on tires. I have a 2012 liberty sport 4x4 with factory rims. I also have a set of 18" rims that were taken off a 2013 unlimited Sahara. I don't know what tires I can put in with those rims with or with out a lift kit

Stick to 16" rims. They look better then other rims and have a larger selection versus 15, 17, and 18" rims.

W/o a lift 235/75/16 is the largest. Some cutting of the wheel liner may be required. I'm not quite sure on 18" but as long as it's back spacing is the same as stock (8" I believe) shouldn't be an issue. Ride on the 18" rims would be horrible though.

What is your intent on using the KK for?

And welcome to the forum

Wife wants bigger tires mainly. And I got a set of the 18" rims for free. It will be a beach buggy and street queen

If staying stock, 235/60/18 is the stock size for an 18 inch rim. What are the specs on the rims from the Sahara?

If lifting your KK, I'm at a loss for the 18 inch rims. No one on here has done a lift on 18s with larger tires on it. Though I would assume 235/65 would be fine.

If lifting, 16s are your best bet. Staying stock, those 18s in the sand will be a great for you. There's a hand full of members on here that run there KK on the beaches.

So stick with the stock 16s or sell your rims on eBay or on here and or trade. Also, since those are jk rims, list those for sale on jeepfourm for added atention.

Find a 5x4.5 rim for the KK, or stick with the stock rims.
