I changed the water pump and timing belt idlers and pulleys on the front of the engine changed back to the factory alternator decoupler. And it runs great as long as you are driving slow it will not rev over 3000. It is nice not having the alternator making noise, but sucks not being able to rev. Any ideas?

Check and make sure the small plug on the side of the air box is plugged in. It's kinda hidden by the cac hose. I left it unplugged once and had those symptoms.

Any codes? Did you rotate the engine two revolutions and reinstall the cam pins easily after installing timing belt?

my check engine light is on all the time for the last 120k miles. I do not have a code reader. I paid someone to change it for me. But I doubt that they did the rotation. The same guy changed it at 100k miles 4 years ago.

jws 84 is the winner! I looked in that area but was not sure what to look for and did not see that it was disconnected until you. I think the clip that holds it on it snapped. But it worked on first try. I will try to find a way to attach it better.

Should be good until 300k miles. It is actually running great.

Thank You
