While driving along, about 45mph, all power was lost. (The motor did not shut off) Almost limp home mode. I could drive real slow starting from a stop, but I was getting no acceleration. RPM's went high as it wanted to shift, but seemed like there was no power to get up to speed. I pulled over, turned the vehicle off, let it sit about a minute, started up and drove off. No issues. I did notice that it cranked over a bit longer, before the issue occurred.

Where do I start the investigation process. No CEL's.

Air in fuel will cause that exact problem. Bleed the air from the fuel filter head every once in a while.

No problem. It still happens to me on occasion even after adding a lift pump and replacing the fuel filter head with the newer style. The fuel system in our CRD's are not the best design and are prone to air in the system.

Just curious, is your lift pump inside the fuel tank? :?:

Sure is. I installed an Airtex E7181M pump after searching through the forum for what other owners used. Keeps the primer pump pretty much firm all the time.
