Did you get stuck in there? :)

Stay left, if the passenger side gets too shalow you can correct that by turning a little to the right.

Nah, we actually turned back because we had a rig in our convoy with no skids or rails and it wasn't worth the risk (since there were plenty of other trails). We did spend quite awhile standing around on those rocks discussing the various possible lines and I thought that would be a fun topic for the rest of the forum to discuss as well.

It wasn't a matter of the mud being deep, just the location and size of the rocks. If you look at photo 1 you'll see that rock C is too close to the tree on the left to be able to fit through without putting a tire on that rock (or more likely, needing the tire to be on the right side of that rock). To get past that, you will scrape a rock rail or skidplate, and for somebody without a rockrail or skidplate, that's a scary thought.

Hard to tell the scale. Here are my lines:

KJ:
C + B (left and right tires)
D (maybe extreme left edge)
F/E + A (left and right tires)

Smart Car: ("for two" version)
Tree and C
Passes by D
Passes by F

:)

Yeah, sorry. Next time I'll get a person to stand in to gauge scales. Or maybe a vehicle, but that would make it too easy.

Sounds like a good line, I think C+B is actually too wide, so you'd end up on one of the two. You're gonna bounce off your rocker panels when you drop off those rocks, though.

LOL!!

I think going between Tree+C might be too narrow even for the smart car....but I bet if you put a lift on it and some meaty tires you might be able to drive over C. :-P

we did put our heads together realy good but someone definitly would've dented a bottom door & rocker panel  it's kinda tricky but it could be done just couldn't come up with a plan but with your help we will tackel it next time, jeffs right take into consideration the mud is real soupy & thick & a little deep not something to barreling threw by all means unless you have $$ to replace a full front end top to bottom

Coming from bottom of pics to top of 1st pic.

I would put my right tire on the right side of B. Then go up and put my left tire between E and G and let my control arm glide across G, lol. This is a lifted jeep with the ome lift, 30" yokohama geolanders, full skids and a locker. Much like mine, I just need tires!!

Actually, different angles - the "zoomed in" photo is more from the left of the trail
