I had issues with JBA rear 4" springs sagging (I was sitting at 3" on the driver's side and 3.5" on the passenger side). So I got in line as a tester for some new custom rear HD springs. I now sit at 4.5" with a stock bumper but loaded down with 150lbs of tools. These springs are absolutely perfect for those who are looking for a higher quality spring that can last and maintain a 4"+ rear end. These springs also work hand in hand VERY well with the JBA HD front coilovers. When driving down the road and hitting bumps where I would otherwise bounce because the rear sagged down, I now just glide over them. You won't have to worry about adding bumpstops to prevent coil crunching (coils touching each other during compression) because these are able to maintain very similar uncompressed height and number of coils comparatively to the JBA 4" rears. These springs can be bought for $350 through Mr. Parker. He can easily be reached through here, email, or on Facebook. You also get exceptional customer service and be updated regularly on the status of these springs. These springs (painted black) are $350 +shipping. For custom colors you'll need to let Mr. Parker know and he'll get you a more accurate quote. If anyone has questions about these springs please feel free to ask me or Mr. Parker!

Any issues with rear driveline angle?

Are you at 4" now or near 3.7"-4"?

I sit at 4.5" with a stock bumper and 150lbs+ of tools. So far no driveline issues. I also installed a new track bar to center the rear end...finally.

YMMV but one guy that has been running the HD springs for a while now, actually dosent have stock lower isolator. He used a small section of leather and that have him a 4" with his setup.

Nick, keep us posted on the rear. I'll have near 350 pounds on the rear axle soon. If your JBA springs were a year old on 170 ish pounds, id hate to see how long those would last on my rig.

110 Lb bumper
100+ Lb rear toolbox and more (still not ready to leak it out)
60 Lbs for the batteries
The solar panel is 100 ish lbs, I assume 40 Lbs is on the rear axle
And 40 Lbs worth of current and future goodies

John once told me that his rear driveshaft was screaming when he first installed 6" rear springs and had about 5.5" of lift. After he forced them to settle, he sat at 4.75" (23.75" center of hub to flare) and had no problems. He had the full 4" kit with 6" rear springs, adjustable track bar etc.

Keep us updated with how they hold up.

KJs also have the added weight of the gas tank and skid plate levering on the rear end of the body. So we don't have as much weight as them.

What's a guy to do....????? At a crossroad on tire size...265-70-16's or 265-75-16's.....not a DD....not a problem to go 4" rear springs if I have to right away.....not planning on regearing until next year.......

I'd get the springs, get 265/70s, save up for gears, then buy gears.

Agree. Lift it, then you can fit bigger tires and gears

If you run 265/70s you won't HAVE to regear like you would with 265/75s. I ran 4" and 265/70s for a while...not a bad setup by any means. Once you have enough saved for gears and/or lockers, get them. Then keep running 265/70s until you're ready for 265/75s. This path will save your transmission from an early death.

No need, I live in mountains and ran them for a while...significant power loss is given. But after a few times driving her you get used to it.
