It been in Metro Detroit all it's life, I've had it about a year and haven't wheeled it yet or gone in deep water. Believe it or not the undercarriage is pretty clean. I thought that I saw somewhere the the front wheels are notorious for holding water.

I'm going to try to dig in to it next weekend.

That are IS notorious for standing water, I had to PB Blaster/WD40 the threads then wire brush all the rust off. That usually clears the threads enough for you to zap the nut off. Afterwards, coat the threads with anti-seize to put a layer of protection on it.

Spent the weekend swapping out the gray/black cloth interior and replacing it with a super clean leather interior from a 2011 70th anniversary edition. Totally transforms the look and feel of the interior. :D

Here's the update for the past couple weeks!

Still working on changing all of my fluids, air filter, and spark plugs
Finished the rear diff, power steering, changed my air filter, and wipers
Still have to do front diff, transmission, brake, and spark plugs

As far as changing other things:

I started replacing my interior lights with white LEDs
I plastidipped my wheels and chrome decals/emblems/logos
I got new plate cover

I'll post some pics on here tomorrow. :D

They are seat skins from a factory 2011 jeep KK anniversary edition.

Changed my transfer case fluid this morning (ATF+4 @78K miles). I almost forgot how much fun that is to do.

Never noticed what people use here. I used Valvoline ATF+4.
Since this was the second time I've done it, I was familiar with the obstacles you face.
For $1 buy a plastic hose attachment (automotive section) to connect to each quart.
I position the quart on top of the driveshaft and slowly let gravity do it's job along with squeezing the bottle every so often.
It's very easy to do. I forget what size, but you need an allen key to get the fill and drain plug out.

I have one of those fluid pumps that you hook up to the bottle. Should work well

Nick, you're moving WAY too far away. On the bright side, wheeling is nice out there...
