So there is no good way to do what you are suggesting.
If you have the valve cover off, you could coat the camshaft lobes with some engine assembly lube, but kinda makes putting the cover back on really messy.
You can also give the rockers and lash adjusters a good soak in engine oil before assembly.
Cranking the engine by hand might do what you want but is kinda hard to do once everything is assembled. Likewise, after assembly, you can pull the ASD fuse and crank the motor over using the starter. Which is something you will probably have to do anyway just to prime and bleed air out of the fuel rail.
With the ASD fuse removed, the engine will crank but not start.

I want to be able to crank it long enough to force the oil through all the oil passages to potentially clear up any crud that may be residual. I suspect ample quantities of Marvel Mystery Oil will come into play.
