I see this one is pretty old. Just wondering if it ever got solved.
I am having the same problem and also the mystery water on the left floor.

Well, I can't reply with respect to the water on the floor, but I can verify that if, in the process of taking the hose between CCV and turbo inlet off to fix it, you unplug the little plug there just above where this hose connects to the turbo inlet, you will get the Throttle Control Light, as well as an error code for same, and the engine will rev when starting until you pop the throttle pedal.

Just replaced my Timing and Serpintine belts as well as intercoller hoses and a BUNCH of pully's and tensioners.... and thats how I discovered this :-)

Thanks for your imput.

A couple hundred Km's since removing the MAP and MAF sensors. Cleaned both although they looked pretty good (no ERG). No throttle light since but it is too soon to tell.

I did my timing belt a couple of years back. I never did get around to changing the accessory drive belt idler bearings but I did buy them and leave them in the console lol. Maybe some day.
